He's been out there. The thing is, he and Owens need to drop some lbs. Footwork is off because they're carrying so much extra weight. And our DLinemen show ZERO mercy.
JuJu Mitchell came into fall camp like 2 weeks late last year. There are guys in the portal that haven’t quite found a home yet, and there doesn’t seem to be a risk taking him. At best he pushes the 1’s for time, at worst he is serviceable depth.

Tyler is not better than Johnson. I'll be mystified if Johnson is not starting gane one...unless he's not 100%I think Loadholt has his ones pretty locked in at the moment. Owens and Harden are getting some runs with the 1s as well, but this seems to be the group.

Neither he or Owens should be expected to play this year. Both need to drop a significant amount of weight.
It’s surprising for sure but apparently he hasn’t really factored in to this point. Some speculation that he could be hurt, but he’s been practicing.
In place of who? He can't play tackle and he's not taking Meyers spot - he's been solid af so far. If Benson is more comfortable at guard, he's not taking that spot either. I also don't believe he's better than Brown at this point. Tyler is having a very good camp. I've seen it in person a couple of times and film don't lie. And nothing I've seen/heard indicated Johnson is sick/hurt, but maybe I missed something.

The only place I'd start Brown is center. He's notter than Benson or Johnson, and starting a 6'2" guy at tackle is division 2, little league stuff.
Ain't no FBS program that doesn't run the option is starting someone under 6'5" at tackle, let alone 6'2".

Lama...were in for a terrible season if Tyler Brown is starting at tackle, bro.
I'll let Loadholt make that decision. I will say the OLine is looking decent thus far whatever the 1st team mix looks like.

Remember that camp is also where an OL coach will try different combinations not just to find his best starting 5 but also to know what the best options are if 1 or more of those 5 suffers an injury. For example, if our starting RT is out it may very well be that the reshuffle isn't plugging in the RT2 but moving a starting OG to RT and inserting the backup OG. My suspicion right now is that T Brown is our swing OL and would be the guy who would slide from OG if we had a need at C or T.
If he’s holding up against our edge rushers at RT, then he’ll be just fine in this conference.

All I ever heard was that it was tough on the finances as a walk-on so he needed to hit the portal and hope it turned into a scholarship offer. Good grades and I heard good practice habits and good teammate.
Based on that, I'd love to welcome him back.
