Consider if he had even competent coaching from the Dorrell staff (for anyone wondering, he didn't. )Poor kid needed some good developmental coaching and was left on an island. Hopefully he can connect with a good coach and utilize his physical traits.
He doesn't have the feet for LT. He got beat around the end consistently. A change of scenery, and position, is much needed.Poor kid needed some good developmental coaching and was left on an island. Hopefully he can connect with a good coach and utilize his physical traits.
I'm not suggesting we should have kept him to try it, but if he doesn't have the feet to play LT at this level, he's not going to have the feet to play LT (or RT) in the league. Should have seen what he looked like at Guard. He's tall AF for a Guard, but it would have masked a bit of those issues. He doesn't have the feet for LT. He got beat around the end consistently. He's too weak to be insideI'm not suggesting we should have kept him to try it, but if he doesn't have the feet to play LT at this level, he's not going to have the feet to play LT (or RT) in the league. I can barely imagine what having a 6’9 OG would be like for a QB. Maybe like playing a video game with someone dancing in front of the TV.I'm not suggesting we should have kept him to try it, but if he doesn't have the feet to play LT at this level, he's not going to have the feet to play LT (or RT) in the league. Not nearly strong enough to play on the interior.I'm not suggesting we should have kept him to try it, but if he doesn't have the feet to play LT at this level, he's not going to have the feet to play LT (or RT) in the league. Not surprised but I would prefer he stayed as depth but no way I felt comfortable with him starting unless he got a lot stronger.Yep. Was on my surprise list but not totally unexpected. Good luck, Van. Solid player who will probably find a good landing spot
Do we have any centers in mind to transfer in? Right now it's Zilinskas as starting C.Not surprised but I would prefer he stayed as depth but no way I felt comfortable with him starting unless he got a lot stronger.
Savion is really the only one I want to keep and hope he competes for his job.
Yes, I’d love to have a 85 man scholarship roster full of guys with two years of starting experience, but that’s not going to happen. Nobody that’s played a good amount is hanging around to be a depth guy.Not surprised but I would prefer he stayed as depth but no way I felt comfortable with him starting unless he got a lot stronger.

Not sure if it's because I have CU as a favorite, but the Lichtenhan transfer was on the Top News sidebar for me. Wells will certainly be on there too.I expect that Wells transfer announcement should be posted on the front pages of ESPN and The Athletic in a couple of hours.
I think he's 6'6 nowIsn't the JSU kid Amari Ward coming in as a Center? IIRC he's 6'4 300lbs no?
Sounds like the coach’s grandmother in Dazed and Confused…I think he's 6'6 now
Drives a MACK truck.Sounds like the coach’s grandmother in Dazed and Confused…
Sorry for the pretty obscure reference!
