2025 MBB Recruit Profile Index

Winters Grady & Ian Inman visiting today through Friday! Feels like we may get:

-TT Carr-starting Pt over Isaiah Johnson?
-Josiah Sanders-ComboG fights w/ Crawford for back-up Big PtG min? Or wins starting PtG & puts SmallG TT @2? Isaiah back-up Pt or 3rd PtG may need a year? TT maybe best shooter over Rancik & Felix?
-Inman-2-way SF, elite open-court, w/ 3Pter
-Still want immovable Tee Bartlett @5, but project Leverett w/ Oct visit more likely?

I’m still of the mind that this gets us a Top-25 recruiting class, or if don’t get a Big to play @5, Tad goes Transfer Portal hunting for Big?

With move to 15 scholarships next year, interesting to see if Tad takes more than 4 ‘25 prospects? Or 6’10 Gerhardt joins 6’7 Carrington as former-walk-ons & Tad takes 1 Big from Portal-maybe? Sounds like no more walk-ons beyond 15 roster size, but CU could give 14th & 15th partial scholarships-if University not willing to pay for all 15 on fulls

On3 Reporting Buffs in w/ Kayden Buggs Edwards: Smaller/quick ComboG w/ Elite Shooting & scoring, but great D, leadership, & Team-1st winner qualities too! 247 Sports Article from last summer ('23) said Buffs coaches were watching him play. But only 2 reports I find? Love Buggs, as Muldrew seems dropping off for us? Oklahoma St & TCU seem to be in deepest, but says he's wide open & scheduling a lot of visits.

Psych! Got our second Pt Guard+ Holland (more 2) & Inman (more 3) are combo guards, who could play some on-ball too.
CU seems out of running for Odih & Grady, but still holding out hope for F Bynum.

Need Big, most likely chance w/ Leverett?

Elite skill & size: Parker Jefferson & Tee Bartlett unlikely? Bartlett waiting for Spring to decide & Texan Jefferson to SO Cal Prep may expand his recruiting?

D, Toughness, Versatility to eventually show outside shot of Leverett: Canadian Akuentok or Kalala (I think he’s Sunrise Christian too?).

Sunrise Christian’s (w/ ‘26 F Gavin Placid) Rufus Owolabi Up to 7'4. Project, but Lane 2NBA2 Defending Wembanyama?

Francis Chukwudebelu Maybe my favorite big for CU, outside Bartlett & Jefferson. 6’10 225 w/ 7’6 length. Perimeter game & 3Pt further along that Leverett? But the Texan is at Virginia’s Oak Hill Academy, which may be harder to keep up elite recruiting of him?

I think we're basically set on our targets. If a guy doesn't have an OV set with us at this point, he ain't coming

Bartlett and Jefferson are no gos

Medford could be right: Leverett in town this Thurs., 10/10 (assuming through Sat., Hoops Scrimmage) & we could get our 5th and last commit from him soon?

But guys like Bartlett (no officials yet) waiting for Spring, seems to be new norm of guys waiting to see what Spring Transfer Portal brings to schools? Also curious if expansion to 15 Scholys, allows Tad to take a 6th guy this year? Probably waits to see if anyone leaves & keeps 15th scholy for possible transfer (if none leave)?

Junior Year stats:
Through 29 games this season Leverett is averaging 14.1 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game while shooting 62% from the field, 46% from three-point range and 65% from the free throw line

Leverett to Vandy! ALL IN ON TACKO Fawaz Ifaola (2 last names?)- Who's in town this weekend!

We got Tacko's first visit, but he's got some big schools in on him. So got to think he still may be a ways off from deciding? From back east, so more NE schools.

LOVE IT! Filled our 5 spots! Tacko willing to do the dirty work with the D & Rbding, and "owning the paint" as he says. Pat Rooney saying Tad over-commited for 2nd year, but don't see it that way. As Harrison Carrington got scholy this year, but assume that 5th scholy goes to Tacko next year?

II think I'm only going to just paste the general introduction in this thread, and then will paste the sections for the individual players into their individual recruiting threads.)

BOULDER – The University of Colorado men's basketball program has added five nationally acclaimed prospects for the 2025-26 season Colorado head coach Tad Boyle announced on Wednesday.

Jalin Holland (Los Lunas, New Mexico), Fawaz "Tacko" Ifaola (Lagos, Nigeria), Ian Inman (The Woodlands, Texas), Isaiah Johnson (Valley Village, Calif.) and Josiah Sanders (Denver, Colo.) have signed Financial Aid Agreements to join the Buffaloes next winter, a group that is currently ranked No. 23 in the country by Rivals and No. 32 by 247Sports.

Following a year of piecing together a roster with a mix of graduate transfer and high school signees, Boyle is pleased to bring in a solid five-man high school class that the Buffaloes can develop.

"They are five young men that come from great families that care about, to me, the right things," Boyle said. "They care about a college education. They care about development. They care about winning. And to me those guys are fun to coach. They're fun to help grow and help development, and that's what I want to do for the remaining years I am here to coach. I want to help develop young men and I don't want to get into bidding wars for them. I just want to help them."
