2025 NCAA Tournament Games Thread

The one team I really feel got snubbed is West Virginia. Wins over Gonzaga and a lot of top Big 12 teams.

Oh well. I guess the committee overreacted to a loss to a CU squad which had a horrible season in Big 12 play... ignoring the fact that this was a Buffs team that beat UConn, blew out CSU, had only 1 loss outside of Big 12 opponents (Michigan State), and which WVU took down in Boulder.

Colorado really should have had a much better season.

Much better is relative here, as I think we should have finished around .500

Clearly a better team than CSU but they’re playing sloppy allowing lil bro to hang in the game.
So far Memphis not letting Nique Clifford do much. 1-5 from the floor 2 rbs, 2 assist isn't much of a game for a guy being touted as an NBA draft pick.

Considering that kind of game from him Memphis can't be happy with the game being this close.

I have dementia and don’t recall. Did Nique leave on bad terms or nah? I’m currently pulling for him but if he left poorly then **** em

Not the best. I don't remember all the details. But he seems to still get along with his former teammates. I think his uncle was being a jackass on Twitter, IIRC.

Nique's numbers are certainly better at CSU. Who knows how much of that is growth, coaching, or weaker competition.

If I recall he was told he wouldn’t get as much playing time as CU was bringing in a certain big name recruit. Led to a low key rift.

He was on a Buffs team with TDS, KJ Simpson, and the Buffs had Cody Williams coming in. He was a good player but wasn't looking at being a more than a role player.

Had he stayed he could have been a key player this year but he saw the kind of players Tad was bringing in at the time and it isn't hard to understand him leaving.

I was referring to his shooting percentages. Usually they go down with more volume, his went way up. From 37% as a junior at CU to 52% and 51% in years four and five at CSU despite shooting twice as much.

At CSU he became a focus of their offense, they designed things for him and worked to get him the ball in positions he was best in. At CU most of his shots were incidental to what they were doing.
