Not for everybody.

I actually get the rationale for it... as other teams have locked in their own stuff and it could cause an unfair disadvantage, i expect them to approve this over the summer.

the ncaa just needs to go away voluntarily before it gets pushed out of the way. id just go ahead with it and tell the ncaa "try me".

Seems unfair that other programs are locked in their old ways and we arenā€™t? Not fair that they arenā€™t able to innovate and we are? Not fair that they have Matt Rhule and we have Prime?

Or is it more unfair that we can innovate and they wonā€™t let us?

Your argument seems fit for losers.

Agreed. Other top programs are cancelling their spring games and Prime is trying to showcase his, but Itā€™s just an easy justification for the NCAA to make to say no

When I read this, I thought, ā€œfuk emā€. What are they going to do if Amazon broadcasts it to promote Prime? This competitive disadvantage guise is hypocrisy wrapped up in, ā€œOh, you donā€™t want to broadcast on ESPN?ā€

I said something similar to Nikita yesterday. NCAA stopped something that would promote the sport while doing no harm to student athletes because of the politics of it being on short notice and those who came up with the idea benefiting this year while others wouldn't be able to adapt quickly enough. I would bet that if it had been a tOSU/UT spring game idea instead of CU/Cuse, it would have been approved.

dont get me wrong, I disagree with them not allowing it, but i at least understand the timing part of the rationale.
