2025 Transfer Portal News & Updates

I thought walk ons were a thing of the past, or is that just expected once everything is sorted?
I think they are still working through all that and there is no house settlement yet, although I think the date is coming up soon. Regardless, the new rules proposed are that teams can have up to 105 scholarships, which is the proposed roster limit, but teams are not obligated to have that many scholarships and can still carry walk ons if they choose.

I didn't watch much Wyoming football the past 2 years, so I don't know anything about him, but I am excited about adding a guy to the room who has been playing a ton of D1 snaps the past 2 years. Worst case, he's a depth piece who will challenge the offensive players in practice and be a guy we trust well enough if the starters are unavailable. He's probably more than that, though.

Looks like a slot guy , but I know zero about him.

The kid is a dawg. He’ll definitely be in the mix for PT.

Clemson 4* APB was dismissed from the team and hit the portal. He was a top 200 player; On3 had him in their Top-10 RBs. Early enrolled injured hamstring and was beat out by the #4 Frosh RB. I would imagine he stays somewhere down South and his list of schools was interesting--Arizona? He is smaller but put up monster HS stats. Maybe Prime can call Dabo and see what is up? Could be playing time, NIL dispute, or something else ... but they cut him loose.

No hint of a reason and no suggestion that the kid is a problem. Guess we’ll have to wait to read subsequent reporting to have any context.

I came up with the same thing. He was tabbed as a potential starter (the other 4* Frosh won the sport). Doubt it is grades. I'm sure he was unhappy with the injury and thus being beat out, but that is CFB. See what comes out and where he lands.

Update: He signed with Liberty today!

Dabo is kinda weird guys.
Clemson is also my sleeper national champion pick this year. It's gonna create so many waves if it happens after he's acted so weird these past few years while pushing back more than anyone on NIL and transfers.

they’re more like a Snow White candidate than just a sleeper candidate. Is your other sleeper Cal?
