For real, though, where do our T&F athletes train? Feels like that and the med programs will be the deciding factor
Colorado Sunshine is what differentiates us from Oregon and DC He's not gonna get it! We doomed. From DC. Shouldn’t be a big deal unless he hates the cold
The snowy days were always my favorite. Felt like I was in a ****in Lord of the Rings book.Flatirons are spectacular this morning though. Seriously.
Surprised that there's only one "have fun running track in the snow" and "he'll get a bag" post so far
“I’m starting to hate that man”
Which is funny coming from a team 2 years removed from a 2-8 season and who just got clubbed by a bad Florida team this year. SC isn't a blue blood by any stretch.Surprised that there's only one "have fun running track in the snow" and "he'll get a bag" post so far
IPF has a track, he'll have access to top notch facilities, the S&C would be happy to do more speed work with him, I'm sure. And although T&F isn't housed in Colorado Springs to the best of my knowledge, I'm sure Bloom would be happy to get him some time at the Olympic training center too. It's not like Harbor is going to be filming the next Rocky Balboa training session to keep competing. For real, though, where do our T&F athletes train? Point is, if he's serious about track, this is going to be tough to contend with. There is no way CU's T&F athletes only train in the IPFIPF has a track, he'll have access to top notch facilities, the S&C would be happy to do more speed work with him, I'm sure. Bah, that's just a computer image. Fake news!Point is, if he's serious about track, this is going to be tough to contend with. There is no way CU's T&F athletes only train in the IPF

Am I doing this right?
damn that's an amazing facility....Point is, if he's serious about track, this is going to be tough to contend with. There is no way CU's T&F athletes only train in the IPF

i saw that image and immediately started convulsing like an anti-vaxxer. i report, you decide.Bah, that's just a computer image. Fake news!
Oh, there's no way we can compete with Oregon's track facilities. No one can. CU's track program isn't going to be any type of advantage here, but I think claiming coming to CU is the end of his track career, as I've seen other sites claim, is hyperbole.Point is, if he's serious about track, this is going to be tough to contend with. Which is a minor reason why we built the IPF, as before that we had to host winter meets in Balch.IPF has a track, he'll have access to top notch facilities, the S&C would be happy to do more speed work with him, I'm sure. Agreed. And I would guess his goal isn't to compete in the Olympics. If he and his family are smart they're thinking there are two can't miss paths here:Oh, there's no way we can compete with Oregon's track facilities. No one can. Ha, some wild assumptions happening here.Agreed. And I would guess his goal isn't to compete in the Olympics. If he and his family are smart they're thinking there are two can't miss paths here:
1) Play CFB football, get that degree, play NFL ball, make that money
2) Play CFB, get that degree, go to Med school, get that money
T&F is a nice to have, not a real part of the plan if we're being honest.
I've heard he actually does have Olympic aspirations, but how that fits in with football and med school, I don't know. If track and the Olympics are his #1 priority, we're probably out. If they trail med school and football, we've got a shot.Agreed. And I would guess his goal isn't to compete in the Olympics. The phrase "bone chilling cold" never made sense to me until I lived in a humid climate. Also, ya'll worried about the weather - Eugene isn't exactly pleasant this time of year.
Very few top sprinters train at altitude. I believe it's viewed as negative training at altitude. It's a real negative factor for us.Oh, there's no way we can compete with Oregon's track facilities. Gotcha. In that case, Florida and the Texas schools would be the play if we're being honest.I've heard he actually does have Olympic aspirations, but how that fits in with football and med school, I don't know.
