24-25 MBB Team

1st half of b-ball:
-surprised Tad started: Hammond; Diop & Jaki at 2 & 3; W/ Malone & Dak! Size rules! Rancik & Baskin first subs, with Ruff brief time at Pt, to stay w/ 4 forwards! 3rd Group: Raskin, Baskin & Carrington. 4th Group: Baskin & Carrington at Forwards true small ball! Before Diop back in at 5.
- RJ getting most minutes at back-up Pt. Felix getting most minutes at 2 after Ruff. No Courtney Anderson, though supposedly practiced this week. Drew Crawford finally in near end of half at Pt w/ Felix at 2.
- Tad said he would try bunch of line-ups today, and rotations would not be reflective of regular season. So don’t want to read into rotations too much. But Todd continues to show big lineups are preferable (Diop at 2 early; Carrington at 2 late, after he played 4 earlier). Rancik & other bigs at SF versus third guard new norm?
-Da Lama may be right about no news from Tad on backcourt may be bad sign for guard play?

Like you said, I’m not putting too much stock into today’s lineups but I’m thinking we’re going so big purely because of opponent. Playing Diop/Carrington at 2 in conference play is a suicide mission.

Indeed. Unless Tad is just all in on rebounding lol

I need to know lots more details but that is a very good sign.

Only thing I’ve seen. Sounds like Texas was up before Colorado closing late. Texas 5* frosh guard sound like he went for 30.

Am still worried about perimeter defending but Tad has praised this teams grit and care you can tell he enjoys coaching this team.

Honestly, this makes lots of sense and still gives me a little bit of hope. It meant the team is buying in and didn't give up. Considering UT is a damn good team, I'll take that.

This seems like a huge key to this teams success relative to their talent level.

They all have to buy in defensively/rebounding and play to their roles offensively. Big challenge for Tad and Co. this year

Also for the media that picked ASU ahead of us. Duke is really good but this made me laugh.
Chicken noodle soup for the soul.

I kind of just assumed Bobby Hurley got fired last year. Besides CU having a respectable season this year, I would LOVE, just ABSOLUTELY LOVE, to see ASU be an absolute complete flaming dumpster fire POS program and watch that a**hole Hurley stomp around the sideline like a petulant child while his brother wins another national championship.

Along with a win over those Sun Devils.

Bobby has to be adopted. It's the only logical solution. Because his dad and his brother are amazing. Maybe his mother strangles stray puppies in her spare time or something, but I doubt it. So Bobby has to be adopted.

Definitely adopted. Also has to be a "nurture" element to his psyche because Dan definitely displays some of those annoying antics at times, but nearly to same a level.

This would be a great case study for a psych 101 class.

Dan has some of those traits, and I might be biased, but I feel like Bobby's antics are cruel and tragic and Danny's are cheeky and fun!
