He’s gonna be fine as a pro in the right system. He’s a three down back.
Rooting for ASU, for sure
I love that chode Finebaum talking about how Boises result would trigger a conversation around seeding. The only thing that sucks about the committee's (and a lot of the rest of the country's) stupid overestimation of Boise and Ashton Jeanty is that it's going to add fuel to the argument that conference champions don't deserve byes.
I'm not sure conference champs should get byes, but the fact that everyone thought a Mountain West school was actually better than the Big 12 champs and the ACC champs shouldn't be any kind of deciding factor.
I don't know if Michigan has an award similar to our Buffalo Heart ... but if they do, Davis Warren would be a shoe-in for it. Beat leukemia at age 17, walked on at a potential and eventual national champion, succeeded one of the best QBs in UM history, constantly considered to not be an adequate starting QB for a P5 program but ascended to the role when Orgi didn't fit the bill, and led his team to two outstanding wins against two of the premier programs in CFB history. Not too damn shabby.Michigan wins STFU SEC whiners/aplogists.
I used to like and respect Herbie as a commentator and color broadcaster, even though he's a Buckeye. He always seemed to put any favoritism aside and just do factual analysis. But during the past two seasons he has apparently sold his soul to ESPN and their "$EC is best" narrative, starting most egregiously with the playoff selection process last year when he was touting Bama as playoff worthy over an undefeated FSU squad with at least two games left in the regular season. While Bama ultimately proved themselves worthy in giving a great Michigan team all they could handle in the semis last year, IMO that didn't excuse putting them into a 4 team playoff ahead of an undefeated team just because its starting QB couldn't play.I love that chode Finebaum talking about how Boises result would trigger a conversation around seeding.
Where was his 90 year old ass in November? Where's Herbstreit now?
They did not belong on that field, and the CFB media is calling it a "missed opportunity".
It was 2,850 in 12 total games (which included the bowl v Wyoming). They played 11 regular season games (2,628 regular season)That’s lame. Anyways, 2800 in 12 (or 13?) games is insane. No one can touch Barry
Fun fact - they also score touchdowns in their bowl games.Heisman trophy winners don't fumble like that...
Thing is, I don’t even consider this a bowl game. If I sit and think real hard, I can realize it’s the Fiesta Bowl, but my first thought is it’s just a playoff game like the FCS has. Saying “2024 Fiesta Bowl Champions Penn State” will never be in my vernacular.I like this extended playoff thing. First time in a very long time I have cared about bowl games.
Uuuhhhh….Boise's coach is so weird with all the Jesus stuff.
Me too, even though I loath them. My top hate watching priority is an Oregon loss. I'd be very happy to see ASU gloating about making it further than Oregon. A natty by the team that lucked their way into a lowly B12 title game would be the best possible outcome. I can only imagine the Oregon tears and excuses, and still zero NCs.Rooting for ASU, for sure

And while I'm on that subject, that ESPN troll of a play-by-play announcer yesterday can suck my dick after dwelling on how badly FSU got boat-raced in their bowl game last year after getting shunned by the playoff committee, and didn't even mention how almost all of their starting players, especially on their defense, opted out ... which I don't blame them for. Just another E$PN-$EC shill I guess.
EDIT: And what I said above about Herbie also applies to Desmond Howard (to my Go Blue! chagrin). I guess one has to know which side of their bread is buttered, but journalistic integrity is important.
Matthew 6:1Uuuhhhh….
Still not a fan of the playoffs, but let’s be honest - there are only 4 teams (and they are playing today) ND, UGA (?), OSU (?), Oregon that even deserve a shot at this…and that might be pushing it.The only thing that sucks about the committee's (and a lot of the rest of the country's) stupid overestimation of Boise and Ashton Jeanty is that it's going to add fuel to the argument that conference champions don't deserve byes.

Jesus, surprised it hasn’t been mentioned here. Some piece of **** drove into the crowd at the sugar bowl and killed 10 people.
It was on Bourbon street, not at the “Sugar Bowl” and it has been mentioned here just not in this thread since it’s not football telatedJesus, surprised it hasn’t been mentioned here. Some piece of **** drove into the crowd at the sugar bowl and killed 10 people.
