Bowl projections

Alamo can choose any bowl eligible team from either conference and they have the #1 choice.

Looking at the ratings. BYU and Iowa State will be a tough choice

The committees aren't making these decisions anymore. ESPN owns almost all of these games now. They're going to be the people making the decisions. If I'm them, I would much rather want Prime in Vegas against somebody out of the SEC. These are made for TV games anyway.

Either SEC or Clemson

Where did you get this from? Seems random.
I know, it should be a higher percentage, right?

What scenario can you imagine where Colorado doesn't go to the Alamo Bowl?

The Alamo gets first selection of a non-playoff Pac-12 team. Who would they choose above us?

Unless this guy is right:

What evidence do you have to support this?

Not to detract from the bowl talk, but let me get this straight: CU finished in a 4 way tie with 3 teams they didn't play this season and they don't get to compete for the title. How do I explain this to my children? (They're in their 30s so they'll be okay. (y)) Still, this almost seems like there ought to be a play-in tournament or something.

Alamo Bowl is independent. It selects its own teams and has first choice. I don't know how the Holiday has it but the Alamo Bowl has its first choice. If it wants USC v. TCU. It can do that if it wants

None, he's talking out his ass and just hoping that it's not what it appears

The play-in could be just a bunch of alternating two-point conversions!

Arizona State and USC would be the best options and those are terrible options. USC doesn't travel well even though they get ratings and Arizona State doesn't travel well or get ratings. If ASU doesn't win the Big XII. I can see them getting 4th place bowl game behind CU, USC, and Washington.

The world in December is a cold place when you're from Tempe.

Tea Leaves and assumptions based on Prime and other factors

Have seen some new projections as follows:

Holiday Bowl = Syracuse v Colorado (Coach Williams)

Las Vegas = Missouri v Colorado (5th Down Bowl)

Alamo also pays the most and thus they have first pick to get the best possible marketable matchup for ratings

I will stop using numbers and will be nebulous

So...91%?

What sucks is that there is a high likelihood that the Big12 Champ is the 12th Seed and would play at the #5 seed that could be Notre Dame 😎. Oh that would have been a huge fukking game and the winner might play #4 Boise State 😂

Best case scenario for me is a bowl game against Nebraska. That way we could reclaim scoreboard and ruin what shred of optimism they had for the season.

I am just gonna assume we are going to the Alamo Bowl.

Both Iowa State and BYU are attractive via TV and travel so I truly believe the Alamo committee will wait to see who's the winner between ASU and ISU and choose ISU or BYU from there.

USC is the only challengers for the Alamo Bowl and I don't see the travel fit for USC.

They could theoretically choose USC over CU but that move would be hard to justify when CU is 9-3 and SC is 6-6

Alamo bowl pays well, it is in our recruiting footprint, and we will draw eyeballs of course. this is a good fit.

boo hoo. it isn't San Diego. this isn't about vacation plans. this is about moving the program forward.

I do hope we draw a super interesting opponent-- fuskers, usc, etc.

I’m not sure how we’d get a Big 10 opponent at the Alamo Bowl.
