Lol I think you need to come to terms with the fact that they are going to play. Perhaps not the same amount as usual, but they'll playDressing for a game and playing in the game are two different things.
If JuJu can enroll early, I believe there is a chance he can suit up too... Would be fun to see Shedeur and JuJu take some snapsDressing for a game and playing in the game are two different things.
Unless the rule changed, I thought EEs could participate in bowl practices but not travel or play in the game?If JuJu can enroll early, I believe there is a chance he can suit up too... Would be fun to see Shedeur and JuJu take some snaps
You are right he can suit up but can't take snaps. So dumb.Unless the rule changed, I thought EEs could participate in bowl practices but not travel or play in the game?
Come to terms lol? I wouldn’t be upset if they play, I’d love it. I’m just not expecting it.Lol I think you need to come to terms with the fact that they are going to play. Perhaps not the same amount as usual, but they'll play
I think it's doubtful that Travis plays. His draft stock is pretty contingent on health and he hasn't really been the poster child for staying healthy in college. I do think Shedeur plays in the bowl game because it'll be his last game with his dad and finishing the season on a high note and hopefully double digit wins is important. However, I also think Prime will want to get Staub some reps since he's almost assuredly hitting the portal.
I think it does. We win our bowl game and that gives us 10 wins. Big time selling point for recruits, fans, media etcI don’t care too much about winning the bowl. I don’t think that it impacts people’s impression of the program.
So not really a bad scenario to me but I see where you’re coming from lol
Saw a projection for South Carolina vs CU which would actually be a nice measuring stick for CU on how they fare against a middling SEC school.
Yeah I agree, I didn't think about the 20 years without a bowl win either.I think it does. We win our bowl game and that gives us 10 wins. Big time selling point for recruits, fans, media etc
I also think Prime wants to win a bowl for Peggy, complete with a Pat Bowlen “ this one’s for John “ moment with the trophy.I think it does. We win our bowl game and that gives us 10 wins. Big time selling point for recruits, fans, media etc
Yes. Winning a bowl game is a big deal for this program and is a nice serving of crow for all the haters. The bowl game result - in the grand scheme of things - doesn't matter one bit but when you consider the history of the program the last 2 decades and where we want to be I think it very much should for us. Especially if it's against a SEC or B1G team as that's the sort of competition this program needs to prove itself against when they have a chance to do so if they want to gain respect nationally and be given the benefit of the doubt if, for example, playoff selection ever comes down to a 10-2 CU team v a 9-3 SEC/B1G team.
When we get a chance to play against a SEC or B1G team, we need to embrace it and take it seriously.
They'll keep moving the goalposts. I think the only thing that can shut them up (at least temporarily) is ending a blueblood's season in the playoffs, but haters will always find a new angle.Yes. Winning a bowl game is a big deal for this program and is a nice serving of crow for all the haters.
Well, they were in a down year! They'll keep moving the goalposts. I think the only thing that can shut them up (at least temporarily) is ending a blueblood's season in the playoffs, but haters will always find a new angle.
OU would be a fun match up.They wouldn't play ASU in a bowl game. They'll play a 2023 Big 12 team if they end up in the Alamo Bowl
Oh I think the agreement was just for the former Pac 12 teams. I just meant we would play one of the current B12 teams that were also in the B12 last yearOU would be a fun match up.
OU and Texas contracted out of that game to be fully SEC. Alamo fought it but ultimately lostOU would be a fun match up.
That would go quite poorly. Talk about a horrible matchup for usSaw a projection for South Carolina vs CU which would actually be a nice measuring stick for CU on how they fare against a middling SEC school.
Wouldn't mind playing USC and getting a win against them.Bowl tie ins
As of right now, we are behind Oregon and Arizona State. The thing is, both teams are listed for the playoffs right now we are are 1st overall. Right now, we are tied with Wazzu. We are far ahead of the others. Cal, USC, and Washington. Oregon State can become bowl eligible beating Boise. Right now, the Pac-12 has 6 Bowl tie ins. If Oregon State doesn't become bowl eligible and two former Pac-12 schools get into the playoffs. That means only 5 teams can fill the bowl tie ins which is possible.
Top teams in the Pac-12 are
1. Oregon
2. Arizona State
3t. Colorado and Wazzu
5t. USC, Washington, and Cal.
Pac-12 tie ins
1. Playoffs
2. Alamo
3. Holiday
4. Vegas
5. Sun
6. Independence
7. ESPN random bowl if needed.
8. Random At large if needed.
We can't play either USC team. One is listed as Pac-12 and the SEC only bowl tie with the Pac-12 is the Vegas bowl. Right now, Vegas picks 3rd. Meaning if Arizona State and Oregon makes the playoffs. Colorado isn't even available at 3 due to being top 2 and it's not even close especially if they beat OK State.Wouldn't mind playing USC and getting a win against them.
Playoff was diluted with 12 teams.Well, they were in a down year!
KState and Kansas QB mobility ain’t nothing compared to SCarThat would go quite poorly. Talk about a horrible matchup for us
