Bubble Watch - Saturday 3/12

...ugh...I wish I had bball on my tv. They actually decided to play some bball on tv in Canada...and they decide to show the ****ING SEC TOURNAMENT?!?!? Vandy vs Miss St?! Hello...**** Shaw cable and Canada's sports stations for televising curling instead of bball.

You ACC guys think this FSU team is good?

This might be the year you only get 1 team into the Sweet 16.

Not so fast my friend...if Nolan Smith doesn't come back to full form, and with Duke's bigs sometimes being inconsistent...maybe no ACC team gets in??...

I think Duke will make the Elite 8 though. Yes, to answer your question, I do think FSU is good. I also think VaTech is a good team...just inconsistent. I'm pulling for them to make the tourney after the last three years of heartache.

I disagree with this whole notion of "oh man, VT should make it given the heartbreak of the last few years". That has no baring. It's Tech's own fault for not playing themselves in.

I still think he got the shot off, not sure what the hell they were looking at. I guess the refs thought they were protecting unc or ku instead of VT.

Tech is in, but they are in no way guaranteed to be out of Dayton. This was a quarterfinal game. Duke will beat the **** out of them

I'm not saying that I think the committee should just give them a pass for the past three years, but from a sentimental point of view...I do want them to get in - it'd be nice for the players.

I don't have any problem with that as long as we are not going to Dayton

I'm starting to get a little worried about avoiding Dayton with VT getting handed a game they didn't win, and Clemson should win tomorrow so they might move ahead of us in the pecking order. Dammit.

Agree to disagree on that one I guess. I find Greenberg to be obnoxious, and Tech recruits troublemakers. Hopefully Duke beats them tomorrow, we'll agree on that.

I think UNC should beat Clemson tomorrow. I'm a little worried about Dayton, but this was just the quarterfinals today in the ACC. Tech's loss tomorrow will knock them back down

Oregon vs Washington right now in the Pac-10 semis. Do we want Oregon and take our chances that Zona beats them in the final? Or is UDub in at this point and we may as well end any concern about the Pac-10 bursting a bubble if the Ducks win it?

I think UDub is safe after last night's win. Better the Ducks are finished off.

Usc loss was best thing all day for us....think we're solidly in but no scenario I see where we aren't one of the last four

As much as I hate this stat....our rpi blows nuts

At the very least, the refs had no proof he didn't get the shot off. The evidence just wasn't there. ACC plot to get another team in.

Exactly, the original call was the shot counted, therefore you need 100% proof of the opposite to change the call. They don't get that concept, and the NFL has the same problem with their replay reviews.
