Bubble Watch - Saturday 3/12

The other bubble teams don't concern me too much. The ones i'm more concerned with are if say, like if Utah State doesn't win the WAC and they take a at-large bid and shrink the bubble.

Heading out for the night, but if you need rooting interests, root for Wisconson, Arizona, BYU, and Utah State.

It doesn't really matter if a fringe bubble team like PSU wins. Honestly is worse that teams who are in, and stand a chance to avoid the "First Four", are winning. That means we want Clemson, Meatchicken, etc. to lose tomorrow.

Bubble hasn't been kind to the Buffs today....teams are doing what they need to other than BC who SHOULD be caput....HOPEFULLY some of that luck changes with the current games, otherwise will be a very nervous Sunday I think

Yea BC may have played their way out with that blowout loss today.

Zona up on U$C 33-28 at half. Let's hope that holds up, as a quality win like that would vault USC forward in a big way

FSU up 15-9 on VT

Is the Penn State, Wisc score right? Both teams under 25 in the second half? Do they play without a 3 point line? Big 10 basketball is GAAAAYYYYYY!!!

USC has some good wins and a decent record v. 1-50 rpi (5-4) and rpi is only slightly worse than ours. they kind of like CU in that. better for them to lose, not take any chances. though, i'm kind of impressed with the job the guy who used to be at marquette and u of a as an assistant whose name i am forgetting did there this year with all the problems.

i thought that was a profoundly uninspirational hire when it happened.

FSU up on VT at half 27-19.

Zona 48 USC 38 12min left

Now I'm going to make the "assumption" we want FSU and Zona to hold on here, unless we go into some sort of time warp between now and Sunday and end up 30 years in the future in a year in which the Hokies and Trojans winning would be beneficial to CU.

USC is the only bubble team that can remotely match CU's quality wins. Thankfully, they have losses to Rider, Bradley, Texas Christian, Oregon State, Oregon X2.

We also need Utah State to hang on. They're ridiculously over-rated and will get an at-large bid if they lose in the WAC tourney. They're up 52-49 with 5:50 to go on a crap San Jose State team that went 5-11 in that weak ass conference.

I believe yes, we want u$c and vagina tech to lose:

Colorado (21-12, 8-8; RPI: 64, SOS: 64)

USC (19-13, 10-8, RPI: 65; SOS: 43)

Virginia Tech (20-10, 9-7, RPI: 66; SOS: 86)

A VT loss tonight should knock them out. I'm still perplexed on why these ACC teams are getting as much respect as they are.

We also need BYU to beat New Mexico. Can't let UNM onto the bubble considering that we lost to them.

Didn't you know? They've got tons of quality wins -- Wake Forest, NCSU, GT, UVA to name a few ;)

Edit: Oh wait, VT got swept by UVA

Penn State is up 32-30 on Wisconsin with 3:30 left to play in the game.

Given the score, I am assuming that it was "pick a pre-teen girl to start in your place night" in Indianapolis.

It sounds like the ACC is living WAY too much off its name this season. I think Iowa State is at least as good if not better than those 4 teams you listed. And another thing, everybody is all giddy over the other UNC team from the ACC, but I'll go on record as saying they're one of the most over-rated teams in the country right now. They've pulled about half a dozen wins out of their ass, including today, have bulked up on conference cupcakes, and have virtually no NCAA experience on that team. All this talk I hear about them being a potential Final 4 team makes me laugh my ass off.

exact. also, with a W over Zona, they'd be 8-2 over their last 10, FWIW. CU at 6-4. i think we are in, so i'm not worried too much. a little uneasy Palm and now i see Warren Nolan both don't have us in. we may not be out, but we aren't in.
