Buffs have a good chance to win South Div.

The way the season is shaking out it looks like the division winner could have 1 or 2 losses in conf.

I'd like to see us play well against better competition, but yeah, the South looks pretty weak this year.

Everybody except CU and Utah look like hot garbage right now. USC still has a lot of talent on their lines, and that’s where we seem to have our weakest areas. I’d love to beat USC in LA, but I have my doubts.

I put USC down as a win in my season prediction, I’m still hopeful we can beat them. But we all know, like in 2016, they’ll get going late.

Could be good or bad, depending on the mood in the locker room. I'l;l take it though.

That's tensions boiling over? Coach Muschamp would like a word.

Publicly attacking your sons new coach on Twitter is prudent and always ends well.
So if that is what made it to the public, what is not getting out? Could be just one disgruntled player, or their could be cancer in the locker room. Do many of the players feel duped, or just one dad?

Should have included his father's tweet to this one

Wow. Talk about negative recruiting material. “Hey kid, so you’re thinking of going to UCLA, huh? Let me show you a tweet from the father of their starting QB...”

Ouch.

Been hinting at locker room issues since week one. See posts about looking for QUIT! According to one player: he's a complete Dick! After Mora, that's saying something!

Back on topic: Yes, we have a shot, and honestly I'll be disappointed, at this point, if we end the season any worse than 3rd in the PAC-12 South. USC picking up one loss against a team we don't face is certainly nice. But odds are still against us. Going to be really interesting the next 5 weeks; by then we'll really know what our chances are.

I see no reason why we shouldn't expect to win the south. We have talent and the team is playing well. I think we can continue to improve and get a shot at our first PAC12 title!

I just looked at all the South team's schedules.

USC will be a problem. They don't play Washington.....if they beat us I could easily see them going 8-1 in conference. Even if they go 7-2 wiht a win over us we would have to run the table (win at Washington included). We need to win that game....or hope they don't get better and lose a couple more.

If we beat ASU at home they shouldn't be a problem. They will lose 2-3 games and we would have tiebreaker.

Utah - Same as ASU. Beat them at home they are a non-factor.

UCLA - Non factor

U of A - Believe it or not the way their schedule falls they could be a problem. It isn't very hard if they can get things going and we have to go to Tucson.

Playing UCLA at home and SC in LA this year is kinda bad luck, seeing as UCLA sucks worse than SC and we historically play like ass in SoCal.

We have to get both of those monkeys off of our backs at some point, though. This is as good a year as any. Hopefully SC won't do something smart like fire Helton 2 weeks before they play us.

If WSU goes into the Coliseum and wins this week that team will crumble IMO. Then they have to play us and Utah in back to back weeks which will be tough.

If Arizona loses at OSU this week, which is totally possible with the way they have been playing, they will probably lose 7 of their next 8 going into their rivalry game with ASU.

Utah has it pretty rough since they get Stanford, Oregon and Washington from the North so they could be pretty beat up but they do get USC at home.

Edit: I'm retarded.

If USC loses another conference game, but beats CU, that affords CU to lose at Washington and still be ahead of SC in the standings.
USC would have to lose two more conference games for us to stay ahead of them in the standings.

Outside of SC just turning it on at some point (based on the talent they have there), I expect Utah to be the biggest challenge. They have a solid defense, and are strong in the front 7. Their offense (QB) is hit or miss, but we know he will be on against us. They do have the tough north part of the schedule, but I don't expect them to lose much to the south teams. Buffs have to take care of the next two games, then take our best effort into LA.
