Fair enough, I guess I'm just bias against UCLA due to having an NFL QB and ridiculous amount of star talent throughout the past few years and their relative underperformance. Everything about that program seems like a dumpster fire right now. Attrition, whether because players were soft or not was due to Kelly. One parent, especially that of the starting QB, publicly calling out a high profile coach 3 games into the season when the team is 0-3 is not a nothingburger.
At the end of the day, he will need some time to get his guys in to fit his system, but it's yet to see if Chip Kelly can actually start a program from scratch and build it into a contender. He took over a well oiled machine at Oregon, built on what was already there and the blank check Phil Knight threw at him. Oh and there's this amazing way to completely embarrass and lose the lockerroom...
