BYU 2025 Game Week - Again, at some ungodly hour on Saturday

I think the shredded tire stuff became an issue because it's used at many kid's playgrounds and some thought it was carcinogenic. Many hp communities banned it.

How could a company that does lots of artificial field installations, suddenly put in 1 that was too hard, caused cuts? Unusual
It was never an issue. Some lady in Washington did a false study that tried to link crumb rubber infill to kids getting cancer.

It's unnatural and mostly sucks playing on a crumb rubber infill, not to mention how it attracts and retains heat.

Brock fill is a fairly new process that uses wood instead of crumb rubber. That is what Folsom has.

We installed a synthetic field recently that has a padding system underneath and then sand as the only infill. It's been pretty great so far. Synthetic turf will never be as good as natural grass, but the Colorado climate, maintenance, and multiple uses outweigh natural grass from an owner's standpoint.

I kind of hate this narrative. It’s the state media spin to play it off like Prime had a plan all along when in reality they completely ****ing bungled the QB situation. They are lucky K Salt was mature about and didn’t tell the staff to kick rocks when they came back to him.
He couldn’t do that because he has no further eligibility. I dislike throwing any games and am skeptical about the plan component. They should’ve had a better accountability setup from Game 1 for the game planning,

Not sure where to put this.

Just watched the 1990 game versus the Nubs.

What a weird, wild and wonderful game that was.

I remember watching it as a kid, but forgot so many of the details.

This halftime stat line is something

Pritchard's early drops, then the huge catches late.

Heyward as a lead blocker was insane, he also made a huge catch inside the 5 snatching away what should have been a pick from the defender. That was right before the go ahead TD. He had another big catch and run, and a couple nice runs. Honestly, he should have been player of the game

I did remember the Bienemy fumbles, and then the TDs, but not that he actually put the ball on the turf 5 times, the announcers lost track of one of them that might have been charged to Hagan on a bobbled perfect pitch.

The simultaneous comeback by Georgia Tech to beat #1 Virginia, and the Nubs crowd going crazy thinking they were going to be #1.

This was the real highlight, though, the remarks from the sideline reporter about the difference in the toughness of the two teams on the field that day:

I remember the weather just being horrendous that day, cold and rainy

It's hard to tell exactly on the broadcast, but it definitely wasn't raining hard at the start of the game, but it had rained all day and overwhelmed the drainage system at Memorial Stadium. It was a puddle outside the hashes.

It was crazy windy too, making the kicking and passing game change wildly from quarter to quarter if you had the wind at your back.

Finally sold the last of ours yesterday. The price drop from selling for the Wyoming game to BYU game was about 60%.
Two late night starts in a row is brutal. I know that they don't have much choice since TV $$$$ calls the shots but an 8:30 start plus all the commercials gives a midnight ending. For anyone who doesn't live in or close to Boulder that means a late night drive or a hotel room.

Speed.

America is all about speed. Hot, nasty, badass speed.

Thing that sucks, is there’s no game before ours closer than an hour and a half. There’s no other game on during our game, so nothing to watch during halftime, and there’s no game after ours.

Montana v. Idaho starts at 10:15 on ESPN2, if you’re looking for something to supplement the Buff game. It’s the Big Sky Conference, but Montana is a decent program. I’ve always rooted for Bobby Hauck

Get a damn room. It isn't worth it to try and make it all the way home driving. Flying is a different story. Catch some Z's on the plane and maybe you can make it or God Forbid get a Goddamn cab.

Being in the stands and sitting through the eighth 5 minute tv timeout of the half, knowing you aren’t getting home until close to one in the morning, is quite the gut punch for fans.

Things look wayyyy better numbers wise, wish they would put the classic unis on! Silver sucks, old man yelling at clouds
Sko Buffs
Fukk these cougs up

Steps need to be taken to shorten the length of games at the college level. It might be my perception, but NFL games have a better pace.
