LIVE! BYU Game thread. Official.

Salter was ass for 3 quarters outside of one drive. Took 2 terrible sacks, a terrible throw to Miller on a key 3rd down, slid on the 2nd to last game, then threw an INT.

He had one good week against a **** team. He's a bad QB.
If it’s so easy to lead FBS in touchdowns, why don’t you go do it

I said about 5 pages ago, Salter is the kind of QB that late in a game will slide instead of fighting for yardage. Even my wife said he doesn’t run hard, he plays not to get hurt, that’s how obvious it is. Prime’s luggage looks more like a wet paper bag at this stage. Let’s see if the media has the stones to question some of his moves or are they still too scared?

The armchair QBs in this thread are ****ing hilarious. Acting like BYU doesn’t have a legitimate ****ing defense.

We were in the game till the end. Honestly I don’t think we’re even in the position to win without Salter. A bunch of you calling for Juju are just accepting a lost season. This is a week. To. Week. Conference. We can win each and every week it just takes couple balls bouncing our way. I’m not upset about this loss. We showed grit and we are a better football team than we were 2 weeks ago.
TCU will beat us by 20+. Hoover is going to SHRED our DBs. Shred.

Someone else needs to handle the clock management at the end of the first and second half. Its glaringly obvious after 3 years that Prime doesn't know when to call timeouts. This team looks lost running a 2 minute offense.

Enough of Shurmer. Let Leftwich call the offense. And I'm about done with Salter. If we're going to struggle, I'd rather be struggling with a true freshman QB getting valuable playing time.

Would you like a popsicle? So weird how happy you are to say you were “right” about something negative for this team. For every time you called something out you were wrong about 3 other things. Odd behavior.

Dude grow up. Juju isn’t ready yet and this game isn’t close with him under center atp
Bachmeier was. I don’t think he was a 4/5*, you have to let the kids play. Salter is a terrible leader, has low football IQ, poor instinct, charmin soft and that trickles down. Play calling isn’t helping him, but man, he makes the worst decisions every time the pressure is on. This game was close because of Drelon.

Both are major issues. Every yard matters in that situation because getting first downs quickly matters. He inexplicably slid really early.
He slid early a lot tonight, that time was easily the worst.

I'm fine with making a business decision a lot of the time, but he left at least 20-30 yards out there between about 5 early slides.

I can't imagine that at least some of his teammates aren't pissed about it too.

BYU played a better game, had a better plan, were the better coached team… but (and I feel like I’m repeating what I said after GT) we clearly had the most talent on the field. That’s what’s so frustrating.

The coaching staff needs someone within an an aptitude for analytics and clock management. There are other issues but having a voice that can handle the more technical side of the game is needed. Loyalty to coaches is going to torpedo this season.

I honestly don’t give a ****. He accomplished that because he can play well. If you’re acting like he doesn’t know how to play the position well in college, which you are, you’re ****ing stupid.
Newsflash, he isn't playing the position well at this level

If you run as a QB more than 10 times a game, taking some hits is a byproduct.

Yeah. Wasn’t bitching at the time because he was picking up chunks but his sliding all night was pretty ridiculous.
