College Basketball News, Rumor and Humor

Yes, CU players likely won’t know how much they make until July, 2025. But school may not approve full scholy’s for 15 guys; could approve partial scholy’s for 2 new spots. But Tad did recently say he may need to play younger guys more, so they don’t leave. Likely he continues to find 3 (-5, if get 15 full scholarships?) guys/ year that want to develop, even if don’t play right away. Maybe keeps Carrington & 6’10 Walk-On Gerhardt, as 14th & 15th guys? I could see Courtney Anderson transferring, as he seems to be odd-man out for back-court playing time?

Y’all act like we didn’t just land the #1 recruit last year. Didn’t quite pan out, but there was that 3 game stretch this time last December where he put up 20 every game… and it was PANNING. Full pan, and he was #1 on every draft board.

With Tad, anything is possible. Just not $7mil for a player unless one of us is ponying up.

What is 'panning' in this context?

Some clarifications...

Isaiah Collier was the #1 recruit in the 2023 class, he went to USC. Cody, depending on service, was anywhere between 4th and 7th.

The #1 pick in the NBA draft was a French kid I had never heard of and immediately forgot; Reed Sheppard was the first collegiate player taken. Cody went with pick # 10 after a year in which he missed 13 games due to injuries.

I also have no idea what "pan" or "panning" is in this context.

Couldn't be happening to a more worthless sack of ****. 10/10, no note
They lost to D2 Michigan Tech today, after he referenced them as "Nobody U" in a press conference. Who would've thought letting an egotistical media guy coach a basketball team while letting him keep his radio show would go over so poorly. Such a shame.
Been following all of this too. Hilarious- he replaced Sundance Wicks who got scooped up by WYO. He went 18-14 last year. So program has taken a stark U-turn under Goetlieb. Even though he did manage to pull in high regarded transfers to the low levels in Isaiah Miranda and Santoro who haven't played up to talent level. Seems like a dumpster fire.
