College Football News, Rumor & Humor

It's the top 6 highest ranked conference champions regardless of which 6 conferences. So for example is the 6 highest ranked conference champs were SEC, B1G, Big 12, Pac12, AAC and MWC then the ACC champ would be left out
I think that is a good call. A fluke win by a 6-6 division winner doesn't mean an auto-bid to the playoff.

The winning drive of course, after Purdue gave them time and confidence to do it.
I think that incomplete passes in the 6:00/4:00 drive period are killers
Running the ball, keeping the clock moving creates anxiety
We are probably both right and Penn State was destined to win the game, it just felt like Purdue was not willing or able to just close them out with any semblance of a running game
Based upon your commentary, I feel like you didn’t watch the game or notice the momentum shifts. Purdue was getting smoked in the 4th quarter. Clifford threw a bad pick six and Purdue had a narrow lead. Running against a loaded box was not going to work at that stage of the game - Penn State were playing an entirely different defense selling out against the run. They had one on one matchups across the board and couldn’t get it done with a one score lead.

I watched it, not sure why I did, but I did

I look at these end-of-game scenarios like Moneyball and look at time management more than matchups

Letting your defense rest, running down the clock, and trying to win it on field position and defense is likely a better chance. Wanted Purdue to win pretty bad

But your analysis is flawed and not GTO. It’s weird that you think it’s optimal for them to run against a loaded box when they’re not going to cut enough time to end the game.

Well now, Dabo got his money. 10 years 115 million, no idea on all the details. Must be nice to be able to pay that.

Georgia Southern going to Nebraska in a bodybag game … beating Scott Frost’s team in another one score game.
