Read in a Jimbo Fisher voice

There's a way to do that and make it cool. Like if Coach Prime started a tradition with a new policy that a student representing CU media got to ask the final question at every presser.

But that was not what Jimbo was doing. It wasn't about promoting the career of a student and getting them some recognition.

Coach Prime might not let that dude from 247 ask any more questions after today. Coach was unhappy the kid was setting him up for some national derision by trying to get him to admit he doesn’t know his players name.

Texas already trying to call the shots in the SEC:

Shocking that UT would think so highly of themselves. They’re usually such a humble, agreeable lot. Always playing well with others and looking to find common ground with their conference peers.

In this case, they are correct. The SEC needs to move to a 9 game conference schedule with 3 permanent opponents and 6 rotating.
why do they "need" this? from the outside, it looks like an 8 game conf schedule is working really well for them

My takeaway is "They need" = "Yak wants"
Not really. It’s a pretty common “want” across college football and it’s not just because of entertainment value, but rather for the good of the sport. Competitive balance, scheduling, ratings, fans, better matchups. There likely will be a literal need for it eventually.
