Local ABQ sports talk guy said on the radio this morning that he was in Ann Arbor this weekend and ended up with Michigan boosters. He was told that one of them was upset with the offense this year and just pledged $3M to the NIL fund to go get a quarterback. A statement followed by how UNM's QB has been putting a lot of points on the board, so maybe they will poach him. This is the reality. $600k for a QB is nothing.

I think this is the “booster” he’s talking about. It’s nothing for a good QB.

Crazy is that some of the QBs getting paid aren't really very good QBs.
 
I was re-watching the 30 For 30 about SMU. The day after the 1987 Death Penalty was announced, there were literally coaches from all over the map recruiting players. They were showing brief clips of coaches talking to players outside and in the parking lot. It was a free for all... then they show a clip of Coach McCartney talking to a player in the parking lot. Loved seeing that, he was looking for difference makers and was on top of it.
