College Football News, Rumor & Humor

I love Coach Prime…but he seems to think that he’s got bigger britches than he actually does!

Report: Raiders Have 'Zero Interest' in Deion Sanders Despite Rumors on Colorado HC

So, others drive clicks by trying to connect him to that job and it shows that HCCP has a character flaw because the Raiders aren't actually interested? Well, alrighty then.

He did not say he had strong interest in the Raiders job
Sure…he didn’t exactly say that. Saying that would be stupid and Deion is not stupid.

However, it’s not impossible for Shedeur to get to #6 and for Shilo to go undrafted.

He said the below, which he wouldn’t have unless he’s angling for something:

You know what? The only way I would consider [it], is to coach my son-s. Not son, son-s,' Sanders revealed.

So you think he's arrogant because he spoke in a hypothetical.
That was my thought. He could have done the "I won't comment on hypotheticals" thing, but that would have resulted in responses that he didn't deny and given it legs. I think he was honest - if a team got Shedeur, Shilo and Travis and then offered him the HC job, he'd have to consider it.

I’m not talking about his character flaws. I’m talking about how no NFL team actually wants him, no matter how much his agent would like the Buffs to believe that they do.

Honestly, why would they? For his X’s and O’s? His shtick will never work with grown men and everybody knows it, so it’s dumbfounding to insinuate otherwise.

I have brought up the same question in terms of what the benefit/ fit is for an NFL franchise. Coach Prime's greatest strengths would be talent acquisition, revenue building and team culture. NFL doesn't need most of that and there are plenty of examples of college culture not resonating with professionals. NFL tends to look for a HC who is a coordinating top gun on one side of the ball and then hire a great coordinator for the other side. I've never seen the fit.

Dan Campbell is really his only comp in the league along with maybe Mike Vrabel. Not bad comps, tbh, but they’re only comps based on neither having extensive (or any in Campbell’s case) coordinator experience and both being more about culture building rather than the X’s and O’s

Getting rid of a spring/summer window will get challenged in court, and will lose.

I hope they also get rid of the December signing period for high school as well. I can't believe that is still a thing.
I suspect that the only way to stop losing in court is to have a setup that includes a player's association that can negotiate a CBA with a governing body that has actual authority.

This.

It's the only really viable way out.

This is insane if actually enacted under the new regime. DoE actually trying to force revenue sharing to be equal across all sports?

Department of Ed will be gone soon.

I’d start worrying about what Camerica and the Greenlamerica additions could mean to Brett Yormark if he wants to expand the B12 footprint. Late season games at Greenmerica State University are gonna suck ass

So 2 things, saw a tweet that schools will just violate Title IX and challenge it in court. That is the dumbest thing I have seen. Probably was a person that doesn't understand that athletic revenue is dwarfed by federal aid, loan guarantees, and research grants. All of which could go away if a school is determined to have violated Title IX.

2nd, with the incoming administration, pretty sure the DOJ won't give a ****, but in four years, a new administration could come back and absolutely hammer any school that failed to comply. Lack of enforcement doesn't absolve a party of duty to follow the law.
