Conference Championship Games 12/6-12/7

I'm really interested to see what direction Walters takes after not being able to work a miracle, then getting the talent on his roster raided.

I wouldn't hate to see him have a recovery year for a modest price as a defensive analyst with Prime while he rakes in his buyout money.
According to a few Purdue fans I know Walters came in grossly arrogant, refused to make copahcing changes, and alientated both the players and the boosters. Might be a while before he gets another chance as a HC, if ever, at the G5/P4 level. Normally I'd say its just anger at a coach that didn't perform but this group of guys isnlt like that.

I hope that ASU keeps rolling. ISU is well coached and tough, but they look slow. ASU has a better chance of not embarrassing the conference in the playoffs.

The real problem I see for the Big 12 in the playoffs and in bowl games is that there's a clear hierarchy of DLs in CFB: SEC>B1G>ACC>B12. If you take a look at NFL draft grades & projections, it bears this out. Glad that CU has put so much focus on this in recruiting and coaching staff, because having a dominant DL changes everything.
Almost certain that ASU will be traveling to one of the B1G/SEC ccg losers, or possibly to South Bend.

All those options sound rough.

Dad of the year.

Bronwyn: did you see my goal, daddy?

Hank: No, honey. I was scrolling Twitter.

After watching this game, I hate to say it but I think we would have gotten taken out to the woodshed just like ISU is. I think ASU will be able to compete with some of the playoff teams.

Could see an Oregon / ASU matchup if Penn State somehow beats the Ducks tonight.
Yeah, I kind of hope/expect the committee to nudge some rankings for interesting matchups. But that one is pretty much a guarantee of Clemson doesn't win. Even then, they might jump Clemson over ASU.

Indiana/Notre Dame would be fun. Bama at Penn State for 5/12, by jumping ASU over Bama.
