CSU spanks barnyard tubes for fun

I have a couple of buddies who went to CSU and watched the fight last night with them. When I got to the party and walked in, it started real quick with how dominant CSU was and that CU was now in trouble. I smiled, grabbed a bourbon and Coke, and said did not say much of anything. They went on for an hour about how CSU was the complete package this year and I listened. Next week will be much more fun this way. I did not put them down and I will not rub it into their noses. I will just tell them it was a nice tune up so we could get ready to play in a P5 conference.

We will win Friday and it will not be close.

And if Oregon state (one of the worst teams in the PAC-12) gets the call the right way to end the half, that game is much closer and probably a CSU loss. You could tell that changed the momentum.

Nall, while good, is not Phillip Lindsey

OSU O line is not CU O Line

OSU WRs (who were open all day) are nowhere near the CU wrs who could be one of the best wr units in the country.

Luton is not Steven Montez

CSU will not have the same home field advantage, which was a big part in their win

This CU offense could potentially be like those Oregon offenses from a couple years ago

CU also has game film of CSU, CSU has to come off a short week after a physical and emotional game. CU fans know how hard that is from Utah to PAC 12 championship game last year

To the OP, is this fill in the blank?

Ok. I'll give it a go: CSU is (are, but it's a lost point) going to spank... their little weinies all week, fondly recalling the beavers.

Beavers are not Buffs. Enjoy it while you can.

All I want is for this guy to stay for all 12 games. But like all CSU fans they blow their load in the lead-up to week 1 and don't run their mouth till next august.

Actually, they beat some mwc teams and are a great football team on the verge of getting an sec bid.

I feel as though this prediction is slightly misaligned with your opening post. That score feels more like anybody's game, than an honest to God spanking.

Well, the Buffs are a 7 point favorite so that would be a 10 point swing and hence a spanking. I guess you buffs can do rudimentary math, however I won't bet on that fact.

Okay, let's see who is talking
BIG Friday after the game. It won't be you extinct buffoons huh I mean buffaloes.

I think I'd rather be "extinct" than never be relevant. Our stadium upgrades cost more than your entire high school style stadium lol. I was there, I saw all the hilarious tagging done by CSU fans about CU, they're jealous. 2nd rate and always will be.

I find it odd that you replied to the same post twice.

Did you reply the first time, and then later think 'Oh! You know what would have been really funny?!' and then go back and reply again?

And maybe the nuances of language are different up in Fort Collins, but to my way of thinking you are describing an "upset" rather than a "spanking". As I understand it, the only rudimentary math required to describe a "spanking" is the disparity in two teams' scores.

Once we're able to close the gap on our regional dialects and reach shared understanding, your assertions make a lot more sense. What you're trying to explain, is that you believe "CSU is going to upset CU, and squeak out a narrow margin of victory." That makes a lot more sense!

Well, good luck to you guys. Like most CU fans, I root for CSU when we're not playing them. It should be a fun game on Friday!

Uh, speak for yourself...I don't think that's the MAJORITY of CU fans. Certainly not me.

i was rooting for a good game and it was for the most part. My perception of CSU didn't really change watching that game. Good offense and terrible defense. My perception of OSU changed a lot though, they didn't look very well coached, couldn't get in position on defense, made a ton of mistakes and gave away the football wayyy too much. Just didn't expect that from a Gary Anderson led team but they are very young this year.

Their biggest issues was QB and WR play. Poor passes, missing WRs who successfully got behind the defense, WRs dropping balls, etc. Hopefully El Passo & Co come out crisp.

as well you should have been. an OSU won would've done more for CU's SoS.
I rarely take those kinds of things into consideration. I have teams I like, teams I don't like and teams I don't really care about. I suspect OSU falls into the category of teams I don't really care about. What was surprising to me was the fact that apparently CSU falls into the category of teams I dislike. Maybe I'd feel differently if we weren't playing them so soon.

Oddly enough, I found myself rooting for OSU last week.
I started out thinking I would and then it clicked that I wanted CSU to win and to win convincingly.

1) I want the Buffs in the Top 25 after this week to give a boost to our chances of hosting Game Day for the Washington game. For that to happen, voters have to see CSU as a quality win.

2) We need to make noise in Pac-12 road games this year with a 4H/5A schedule. It helps a lot if OSU is hot garbage. Even more so because we play 11 straight games before getting our bye week this year. Any walkover games in the midst of that gauntlet will be especially useful.

Yeah. That all makes sense. None of it went into my thought process.

Count me as one of the ones that thought Anderson would have his guys in better shape this year. That was a pitiful performance all around; they weren't in good condition and did not adjust. Kind of pathetic.

The Rams did adjust and capitalized on OSU's mistakes, and didn't commit many of their own. I hope they make their way to 10-2 with a decent showings (but losses) against the Buffs and Bama, so Bobo can move on.
