I think you were rooting for OSU because you've been the most outspoken about thinking they are going to break through this year. The subconscious' desire to be proven correct...

I, otoh, was rooting for OSU because of idot CSU fans that now think they're among the nation's elite.

So, what does that say about your rams last year? You think Rocky Mountain High School could have given them a run for their money? I know they could have scored against that defense, that's for sure.
 
So I watched last year's game and in the 3rd qtr every attempt to Gallup, Oliver has been covering him. He is either stride for stride or beating him down the field on deep balls. Gallup will be a non factor unless they move him in motion and get him matched up on a safety. If Oliver is covering him he won't get much.

Oh, little brother, keep being the best G5 school fan you can be.

If CSU played CU every year until 2061 and somehow won every game, that would only bring the series record to .500

Total domination.

Seriously though, my brother, a lot of my family, and some of my best friends went to CSU, so I tend to not want them to suck.

OTOH, dipshits like Freddie here make it really hard for me to root for them to win, either.

Also, my whore ex-wife went there, so there is that. Might tip the scales, really.

the topic of wanting CSU to lose is interesting for me. I normally want them to lose 1 game per year. But this year like @sackman I found myself cheering for OSU. I think it comes down to wanting them to do well once they're in their place. Not that I want them to know their place, no team should think they're anything but great, but be in their place having lost their opener to CU. This year was a little different in that they played someone else first so they aren't in their place yet.

So, lose one more and I'll cheer for them again. In fact I'm going up there to see their new stadium for their game against the Zoomies. Should be fun.
 
I couldn't figure out why csu players would hold up and wave around that belt, that looked like something from a boxing championship. I wondered if that was their "trophy" for the last time they won their division.

so I googled it and it is "The Pride Belt". csu's defense took a lot of heat last year, so this year they got that belt made and apparently they like to wave it like crazy, when they make a good defensive play.

I think it's a bad idea and you don't encourage players to celebrate, until it's clear they've won.

It will be interesting to see how much it pisses CU off
