For the time period we played K.J. and how confident he was, I would give Jalon a tier above him but Jalon has struggled at short and intermediate passes more than K.J. did at the time played him. Jalon deep ball is better and there are a few possessions where K.J. missed reads for Kobe Hudson in that game that Jalon will take advantage of. This is one of those games, the secondary has to be ready to cover the full field.

For whatever reason, that lost screwed K.J. head up something serious. They lost 3 WRs that game to the portal. The kicker quit. It just seemed like the entire team hit a mental wall after that loss.
Not to mention that dude being consoled by the girl in the stands.

Jalon Daniels is a much better QB than KJ Jefferson
Yes but he’s a pretty erratic passer, especially under pressure. A big reason they aren’t having a good season is because he had a 7/8 TD/INT ratio through the first six games in which they went 1-5. Since then he’s gone 6/2 and they’ve gone 3-1 and could have easily been 4-0 if not for the late FG by KSU.

He's still not handling pressure well. There was multiple times who would feel fake pressure and make a bad decision. Colorado has to be relentless with him as they were with Wilson

Yeah I can’t find it now but I saw his stats when pressures and he’s been awful

This is what you’re looking for. Objectively speaking, there aren’t many stats to support a Kansas win. We should expect to win this game

Doom will override all other stats, causing maximum pain and embarrassment

This is a piece of **** post for a supposed doom purveyor. What nonsense. Objectively speaking, they protect the passer well, get after the passer well, and run well. They have a great chance to upset us and are only 3 point dogs on a neutral field. Their special teams are also solid. Expect nothing but disappointment if you think we are winning.

The pupil becomes the teacher.

You are laying groundwork for emotional hedging and copium when we lose to a team that is “solid” or “good”….

No. They suck. They are who their record says they are. That’s why the confluence of doom (clock management, Shilo, penalties, etc) will crush us this weekend, confounding all prognostication.

We will be raked over the coals for losing to such a terrible team. National narrative and judgment will be brutal and swift. Giving credit to Kansas is just emotional hedging an outcome we all know is coming

doom is always knocking on the door. doesn't mean it is getting in quite yet. every week now is a Super Bowl game for us.

Emotional hedging? We are 3 point favorites. They have beaten two ranked teams in two weeks and should have beaten three in three. These are facts, not fantasy. Giving credit where it's due is just not being an idiot. What you are doing is both heretical and stupid. We will be dragged over the coals because everyone hates us and the entire world sees the ****ing freight train coming our way. Calling Kansas "terrible" and saying we should expect to win is what I'd expect from Yak. Never go full defeated.

Of all teams we played, that UCF team was the best one on film going into the game. As far as all year outside of us

1. Early season BYU was a legit top 10 team
2. Recent weeks Arizona State looks like a top 15 team.
3. UCF going into week 4 was the best team we played on film going into the game. They even had by far the best grade on PFF. That said, they had severe flaws on film like Kansas and I knew we would beat them

Agree with both of your takes + @Corey Trevorson's chart re: the pressure stats. I still believe K-State is probably the best all round opponent we have played (Johnson + Giddens RB) + their D/STs this season. KSU's season has gone the way of AJ, as we caught him on a better week, but when he is bad it is really bad. The other factor is shutting down/mitigating KU's running game. RBs/Neal appear decent having put together both some good games and big plays. This will be another game for the physicality, depth, and talent of our D (front 7 for sure) to shine. Get KU in some bad downs and distances, and Jalon will become more one dimensional.

Also, if we score early and often, that forces their hand on offensively, either forcing them to stick with their offense or taking chances passing downfield. For UCF that was a big factor.

Some wild nuggets in that.

Arden Walker (3rd) and BJ Green (11th) in the country for pass rush grade since week 7 and Cash Cleveland with 102 pass block snaps and zero pressures since Tech. Nuts

You guys are ****ing ridiculous.

Tickets acquired, parking bought. Now gotta be prepped to sit in enemy territory. My tickets are in 118, middle of KU season ticket holders. Bought them from my brother-in-law's younger brother.
I bought tickets on the secondary market because CU sold out its allotment. I’m in section 322 which I believe is the 50 yard line and third level. I’m staying downtown and taking an Uber which will prolly cost the same as a parking pass

To be fair, I’ve mostly been right this season!

Credibility about what? I suppose I could copy and paste the SP+ ratings on a weekly basis to gain “credibility”, but that certainly looks more and more foolish every week.
I guess asking you to be self aware is too much. The mocking will continue
