CU at Texas Tech 11/9 @ 2pm MT on FOX

Yes, watching this team can get frustrating at times, however I'll take this than the crap we were watching just 2 years ago.
The cool thing about this team is when things go south, they can find a way to score all the points they will need and the D finds the stops it needs.

Our lines are the best lines we’ve had since 2016, maybe even back into the 1990’s for the D line. In 2016 we had 3 very solid DL, now we have waves of playmakers at every position on DL. Our interior DL is both stout against the run and capable of a serious pass rush. We have a bunch of very real edge rushers, too. Best two ILB combo I can remember. Amazingly, with all that, secondary is actually a strength, too.

This is fun football. That was a sick, tough environment to take control of a game, after a horrible start, and we did, especially D.

Leave the oddsmaking to other people!

Box Score highlights:

Shedeur 30/43, 291 yards, 4 TD (1 rushing), 0 TOs

Travis 9 catches, 99 yards, 1 TD, no defensive stats bc TT didn't throw his way other than an INT negated by penalty

Walker & Green with 2 sacks
McNeill & Wade with 1.5 sacks

Bentley with 10 tackles, Hill-Green & McNeill with 9
Shilo with a defensive touchdown
Hill-Green with an interception

Mata 2/2 FG & 5/5 XP
Vassett 8 for 38.5 avg with 3 inside the 20

The best player in the country had 9 catches for 99 yards, a tuddy, and locked down half the field for scores of plays on D. And he didn’t play his best game. Kinda emblematic of this team. We’re at a level now wherein we don’t play our A+ game and still win by multiple scores.

What I came to say. Hope shedeur is ok. Definitely was off all night. Kept going for the home run and refused to check down. If we'd stuck with the screen passes more he'd have had 500 yards.

Crazy he's so good we all know he's way better than what he showed tonight... And the stats he put up tonight were good!

Also, wtf was that disgrace of an offensive performance in the 4th? Disgusting

I’m sure it’s been said in here but the idea of the Buffs winning by 14 on the road, while the offense played one of their sloppiest, slowest starting, and just mostly uninspiring and bland game of the year is wild to me.

Shedeur played very mid, IMO. Made some plays when he needed to, but he was wildly inaccurate and inconsistent and cost CU a stress free ending by taking that ridiculous sack after the NHG pick.

Travis dropping about 3 passes, Horn basically not playing, 100+ yards in penalties, offense not capitalizing at all on 2 of the turnovers that happened in plus territory, and atrocious special teams play…. And they still won by 14.

This team will be a tough out for anyone in the country if they can finally play a clean game.

Great win by the Buffs!

I’m trying to understand why, against one of the worst pass defenses in the country, we only threw bubble screens.
In the post game Barnett said that because they didn’t respect our running game they were focused on defending the pass. I missed exactly what he said but suspect he meant they were dropping guys into coverage.

I read this thread in retrospect. Never seen a group so angsty about a 14 point victory which beat the sharps' predictions by like 11 points on the road against a fairly talented team and a wildly enthusiastic and hostile crowd. Favorite moment: When a thrown tortilla made it onto the field in front of Travis lined up on defense, and right before the snap he picked it up and stuffed it down his pants. What a game.
Aren’t you the Rockies’ mascot?

No bias there Lauren :/ CU has a ton of good kids on the team that have set academic records at the school. But the coach et al are unapologetically black…Hmm

Update: She was roasted and deleted the tweet comparing a BYU v CU Big XII matchup to Catholics v Convicts.
Yep. We’re guilty. GUILTY OF KICKING ASS!!

I agree the lack of discipline on these unsportsmanlike penalties has to stop. That said, the rules committee really has to reconsider the stance that wagging a finger or flashing deuces warrants the same consequences as targeting, roughing the passer, obvious PI 50 yards downfield or other penalties that impact player safety or actual on-field play.

I’d argue that the UCF game was a very clean game. All three phases were dominant.
