Just get the Disney bundle (ESPN+, Disney+ and HULU)After subscribing to ESPN+ for CU's third tier B12 games, will anyone miss the P12N? My goal for a new media rights deal was the ability to subscribe to something like ESPN+ (for the Big 12) or Apple TV+ (for the P12) and it looks like it is going to happen. That is with the understanding that there will be linear TV options available.
LOL...that'd be funny but given the Comcast overpayment problem, I think it's more likely the P12 gets dissolved so CSU stays put.

That’s the thing. We’re not 100% the issue is money. Money could be equal but the deciding factor could be the opportunity to be on ESPN and Fox.Other than the $ what benefits does a move to the big 12 have that I’m missing?
Game day experience for road trips will likely be improved, even though destinations do suffer.Other than the $ what benefits does a move to the big 12 have that I’m missing?
Potentially more exposure and visibility. A Prime-led CU program in the Big 12 will have Fox and ESPN/ABC including them in marquee time slots alongside their SEC and B1G programs. Of course, that’s also assuming any Pac deal doesn’t also include the networks.Other than the $ what benefits does a move to the big 12 have that I’m missing?
Do you feel that this cements cu in the “have nots” in college football? Pre prime we put ourselves firmly in that camp, but now we have the most dynamic coach in the game and then decide to move to a league with perceived lower competition. Seems odd to me. But your point about the playoff is well taken.Guaranteed $
Possibly an easier path to college playoffs
Closer road trips though not in wonderful places
Being in a conference where the fans actually give a damn
If we stay and are making $10-$15M less than the Big12, which is already $10-$15M behind the Big10 and SEC we will be firmly in the have not category regardless.Do you feel that this cements cu in the “have nots” in college football? Good point about guaranteed exposure. No idea what the pac can provide there.Potentially more exposure and visibility. I assume we would have to sign that extended gor so we are locked in and likely can’t move, right? If we stay and are making $10-$15M less than the Big12, which is already $10-$15M behind the Big10 and SEC we will be firmly in the have not category regardless.
Damn, you bypassed kiss and went to suck - you are feeling itThe seethe from the California and wine/cheese segment of our fanbase makes me enjoy a B12 move even more.
P12 can suck my ass tbh
I hope we can keep him for many years. I remember reading some posts here that OC Lewis might be a replacement if Coach Prime left?

Video going over Wilner's article. It's behind a paywall so it's nice to have the video go over it.

***checks the number of posts in the Nebraska thread…That’s where CU doesn’t fit in with the B12. We’re not jaded by Texas or Oklahoma. It gets annoying to hear about how much the B12 left overs obsess about them.
First real positive I've seen for this move.BBQ?
Difference is the feeling is mutual and we don’t act like scorned lovers. I really don’t think UT or OU care about you guys. Just being honest. It’s one sided.***checks the number of posts in the Nebraska thread…
Aside from money and stability the exposure figures to be night and day different. 70% of the games on ABC, FOX, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, or FS1 which is more than the recent PAC deal. The last chunk would be on ESPN+ which is usually 2 games per school and has 23M subscribers.Other than the $ what benefits does a move to the big 12 have that I’m missing?
SCOOPAGE overhead at the burrito stand: CU will be announcing a move to the Big 12, possibly as soon as the 2024-25 seasons for all sports. No word on what schools will also be making the move with us.
I’d say it’s 99% certain we’re the only one that moves. The boomer wanderlust for B12 cowboy towns is too strong at CU. Zona talks a good game but they’re not foolish enough to go. They are a P5 Gonzaga, smooth ride to the tourney every year.If CU does move to the B12 then I hope Arizona stays in the P10. That way everyone can be miserable.
In 2024 - 2025! Can't you read?!Any idea on when it is expected to be officially announced?
I've abstained from updating, but high-level donors have been informed all in the last week. First by a "program ambassador" which (to me) was only a 99% indication, but then reconfirmed with a personal call from where the buck stops at CU.Also h/t to @buffaholic who had it from a source a couple days ago

Well, it will actually leak this week then. No way it stays under wraps.I've abstained from updating, but high-level donors have been informed all in the last week. Friday morning after the special BOR meeting at the earliest is my guess unless the Big 12 announces invites before then.
