Yep. They may no longer be AAU, but that's about the focus of the university leaning more to agricultural technologies than a statement about its academic chops.
I didn't realize until just now that ISU left the AAU. wow -- given their status in the realignment mess, that is shocking to me
Similarly, Syracuse left because AAU didn't align with the university mission. They are about their Journalism and other schools. Didn't want to transform into being about medical, engineering, hard sciences, etc. Great school, though. In fact, so many universities are great if you're looking for a particular program. For instance, if I wanted a career at Hilton or other hospitality my short list in the US would be UNLV, FIU and NAU.

He never said they were. He used Miami as an example but didn’t equate the two.
If we add Tulane and UNLV to the conference, I’d be thrilled.
There's a CA state law or something which limits advanced degree programs at CS system schools to prop up UC system schools. SDSU would vault up in a hurry if that changed and there seemed to be momentum for that to happen.

Why would either of those schools go backwards? They’d be making $10-12M less in revenue, vacate ESPN & Fox platforms, walk from a commissioner who knows how to navigate this new landscape and develop additional revenue (they’re about to lock in a data deal worth an extra $5-7M per school) to the worst commissioner in CFB, and would vacate TX and FL. If we’re being really honest here, Kansas is one step from the B1G, albeit they’re down the list a ways, but they’re on that list that gets the B1G or even the SEC to 24 schools if thats the future. Coming here is taking another step back for them.
The PAC is dead as we know it. It was a mistake even coming here. The sooner this sh1t deal is put in front of us, the sooner we have the cover to GTFO and get back to a place where sports mean more to more fans, and we get paid more for it. period.
Maybe we should see the deal that's put on the table before assuming so much.
Could be that the money ends up being even. Could favor the Pac if a bet on streaming with ratings/subscription performance escalators pays off. Could be a total dog sh!t deal. We don't know.

No Ga. Tech didn't deserve the split the next draft CU had 10 players drafted and Ga Tech had one in the last round. In my book Osborne's vote should serve as a reminder why I and everyone else my age have a deep rooted hatred that was suppose to be replaced by Utah< not even close but they (P12) just kept pimping the Utah game as a replacement.
It's why the 2001 game is worth watching over and over and over.
