CU has rejoined the Big 12 and broken college football - talking out asses continues

Doesn't this meeting seem like a panic reaction? I keep repeating myself, but without a media deal it is all talk. Ultimately money becomes the biggest part of the equation and without a deal what do you have to negotiate with. As far as George K. being blameless, that is ridiculous, he supposedly was talking to media partners for months but now all of a sudden has a solution with the ACC.

Just like unequal revenue sharing for UW and UO will keep them in the PAC, 150% of zero is the same as 50% of zero. CU is the only one that has taken a business approach - show us the numbers or we walk.

I think it's one of the 4 Pacific NW schools with an emphasis on WSU or maybe OSU.

WSU actually makes the most sense. Their TV ratings have been pretty good over the years and they are accustomed to playing in the late night spot, which is likely what ESPN still needs to fill.
That Pullman-Orlando road trip would not be ideal.

I didn't say they would. I am happy we're going to the XII, especially since USC and UCLA bolted and I won't be able to see the Buffs in LA anyway. It's a much better opportunity for us financially and athletically. But it's no coincidence that whenever RG needs money the first places he hits up are usually Newport Beach and Manhattan Beach.

It's also the first place he goes when he needs a delicious homemade pizza.

I’m sticking with my guess yesterday that it’s Oregon with Washington as a distant second. I think it actually makes way too much sense for Oregon to stab the P12 in the heart and pull up the ladder.

Most people are focused on B10, but B12 could be a great move for them to go scorched earth in the short term and give themselves an easy playoff path with more stability. They don’t have academic holdups like the rest

WSU or OSU would be pretty underwhelming.
I agree, I just don't see Oregon and Washington splitting up, so unless they choose to take 3 more to get to 16, I just don't see it being one of those. WSU or OSU, otoh, would both probably jump at the opportunity because they know they're not in any future Power conference plans and as I said, WSU is appealing to ESPN for Big 12 After Dark.

But, in light of the WVU guy's scoop, I can't imagine the Big 12 would turn down Oregon and Washington as members if they wanted to jump.

Probably true. Yormack doesn't have to do anything at this point except keep an open phone line to see who comes to him and chose what he wants instead of him having to pressure anyone to come. Everyone now looking for a lifeboat

Yup..their arrogant asses will automatically assume they can dominate. Oregon has had so many good to great recruiting classes the last 5 years and yet Utah has owned them...LOL like we did with Ricky.
If Oregon moved to the B12 their recruiting in (Tx) won't amount to a hill of horse ****.

14 is indeed perfect for football scheduling if you go to an 8-game conference schedule.

Each team has 3 teams they play every year. Then, you play half of the other 10 each year so you're at least playing everyone twice out of every 4 years. (New ACC scheduling model.)

You can accomplish the same with a 16-team conference, but it requires a 9-game conference schedule.
That jibes with the reports I've seen from Big 12 twitter stopping at 16. Still think this league could be at 18 teams for the next decade.

They were probably the first of the 9 to call Yormark after Thamel's tweet yesterday.
