CU has rejoined the Big 12 and broken college football - talking out asses continues

If that was a flop, then what’s the word for 30,000 in the stands at Levi’s Stadium? 😂

"Blueblood", apparently

It’s really too bad, because a game at Stanford is actually quite enjoyable. Nice facility. Good tailgating scene. I just think college football in the Bay Area is way, way down on the list of priorities. Like Lacrosse or Women’s Soccer.

Really? Pickpockets have pretty much died out in NYC since people stopped carrying cash.
Yes. It amounts for half the reported crime in the city with roughly 130k reported cases a few years ago. NYPD had approx 3.6k reported cases in New York in February 2024.

But then, tbh, I never really had NYC or any US city down as being notorious for pickpockets and certainly not on the same scale as Paris, BCN or Rome. It'd make sense that NYC is the US hotspot due to a) the best subway system in the country and b) as it's the most visited city in the country, but I think that (international) tourism is a far bigger factor in the 3 cities I mentioned as they're smaller than NYC plus there are more (international) tourists than people who actually live there.

I saw a man catch a lady pickpocket trying to steal his wife’s wallet from her purse in Barca. He nearly broke the pickpocket’s hand!

I’m either really lucky or just living right because I’ve spent a lot of time in Paris, Rome and Barcelona and never once had my pocket picked*.

*this doesn’t include Santa Cruz, California.
