CU players in the NFL

It will blow my ****ing mind away if Bakhtiari ends up being our best pro player ever, and eventually becomes our first Pro Football HOFer. Not because of him - like him a lot, but just the mere fact he played for us during a very dark time. With that said, hope his career stays on course if not better, and he becomes our second Pro Football HOFer (after Branch gets in someday, and yes, I realize that the HOF is not a sure thing at current trajectory).

I didn’t think he could get much bigger, but I think I was wrong.
It's not fair when the guy who is that much bigger is also quicker.

I think the Jaguars got a steal with this pick.

The big knock against Laviska at CU, really the only knock was his ability to stay on the field.

The NFL is a more physical game than the college game but I would expect that the pro coaches will do a much better job of not repeatedly putting him into positions to take the physical abuse he did in the CU offense.

He's having a great camp and putting himself in a position to potentially make the roster, which was a long shot at the beginning of camp. Have to figure at an absolute minimum at this point he is on the practice squad again and the first receiver called up if there is an injury (or Covid) in the Wr room. I'm surrounded by Patriots fans at work and that only fuels my hatred for them more but if he makes the squad it will make all the Pats talk much more tolerable. Awesome to see.

Edelman, Sanu and Harry are the top 3 and are locks. Matthew Slater is a STs ace who is likely to be around, and then Ross has seemingly been the Training Camp star. I don't know if Ross has been much of a ST guy, though, so that could make a big difference one way or the other.

Tough thing for guys like Ross is that this year with no pre-season they aren't going to get the chance to get themselves on film for other teams. In other years a guy who was having an outstanding camp could get some pre-season views and if he doesn't make the team he's on other teams could get a look at him.

In actual practice there weren't a lot of guys who caught on with other teams in the same year but a few did each season.
