Davis Webb transfers to Cal, spurns CU

First off Sefo has set some 75 qb records at CU so to say he is not a winning bowl caliber qb is just stupid as hell. Second why are we still talking about that suck job Webb? Are we that bored?
Didn't Cody set a lot of those records prior to Sefo?

No he won it fair and square during summer workouts! Dykes will lose this team for this sort of leadership. Seen it before.
Cal has 3 freshmen or RSFr QBs on their roster with a 5.7rr or higher. Me thinks we'll be seeing some transfers.

I'm about the biggest Sefo fan there is... but Davis Webb went back on his word because he didn't want to have to compete with Sefo... Let that sink in.

Why do you have the but in there...I doubt that Webb went back on his word because of the Sefo...he has been around enough to know you have to compete. We don't really know what his reasons were - you can only speculate.

There has been enough talk that Cal was promising him the starting job where as we told him he has to compete that I believe it.

Whether or not he looked at film of our ****ty ass line and our spring practices and that gave him some pause as well when compared to Cal, I wouldn't doubt that as a factor, either.

Our ****ty ass line? Have you seen Cal try to protect the QB? Goff got pummeled last year. Our line at least had the excuse of multiple injuries and Lindgren calling 7 step drops. I think by mid October Webb will regret going to Cal while sitting in a ice tub after yet another game of getting knocked around.

But Dykes was smart enough(?) to establish rules during the spring game that Webb attended, that made his OL look like all stars. We'll see if that is true in the end.

Our O-Line was the same in March when he visited as it was in January or February when he committed. The film didn't change. The players that were injured when he committed were still injured when he visited again.

It comes down to:

A) He didn't want to compete with a 3yr starter for the job or B) Dykes promised him the job and HCMM wouldn't.
