Deion Sanders - HC Jackson State

I’m not. Fully aware that Saliman and Schwartz are committed to athletics. Hence the acknowledgement of them assisting with the player salary pool. That’s also brand new territory for every school across the country. So that’s not really relevant when looking at the school’s willingness to help with coaching salaries, something they could have done when RG himself said he did not yet have the funds to pay for all of Prime’s contract.
Rick George is a great fundraiser and knows if he were to say, "oh we have the full financial support of the university, etc etc" then why would anyone feel the need to donate? Fundraising is about making interested people believe they are needed and necessary. If he didn't have Saliman's blessing and financial backing, he wouldn't have hired Prime in the first place.

I feel like you think I’m hoping they won’t help, which is not the case. I hope they do, but it has never happened in the history of the school, even in the last two years where the pro athletics president and chancellor could have changed that.
What are you referring to here: "even in the last two years where the pro athletics president and chancellor could have changed that."

What is silly about how the Settlement is a bad thing or a big challenge or whatever, it is a FACT that all those great CU Buffs that went out on Folsom Field and put on a show and the fans packed in and paid for tickets to watch and the concessions and TV money all flowed already HAPPENED. The Settlement is Paying those old Buffs for the work they did for what has been determined to be below their market value. That is exciting, very exciting. Take the money out of wherever and pay for benefits that the program received in the past.

Fair point about the fundraising piece. I don’t necessarily think Saliman said “if you don’t get the funds, we will cover the shortfall” however

For your second paragraph, they could have provided funds the last two years and haven’t. So why should we expect them to do more than what is absolutely necessary (helping with the salary pool for players) if they haven’t done so the last two years. All the others big time schools in the SEC/B1G have much bigger media payouts and probably didn’t need any help from the university, but got it anyways. So if we could have definitely benefitted from it the last two years, why haven’t we gotten that assistance from the school?

What could/did they need to help with the past two years? Serious question, I don't know what you're referring to.

They could have donated money to the AD just like Alabama does. Or Georgia. Or Ohio State. Or any other number of schools that do it to help the AD out. They don’t need the extra money, but it certainly doesn’t hurt

That's revenue sharing. I doubt Prime stops there. Unless I'm mistaken that NIL will continue?
Revenue sharing is supposed to replace collectives and act as the current "NIL" system of pay for play. I'm sure a lot of teams will still have something extra beyond that, but iirc there aren't supposed to be any more third parties administering payments. Even if there are, RG only controls how much they are participating in the rev sharing, not what a third party would contribute over the top.

Sunshine pumping Darth is disconcerting g at best.

I understand the personal happiness dividend with not being a negative asshole all the time - but... it's really hard to get used to.
I'm confused. Never been happier than when leading my beloved church of doom
