Rick George is a great fundraiser and knows if he were to say, "oh we have the full financial support of the university, etc etc" then why would anyone feel the need to donate? Fundraising is about making interested people believe they are needed and necessary. If he didn't have Saliman's blessing and financial backing, he wouldn't have hired Prime in the first place.I’m not. Fully aware that Saliman and Schwartz are committed to athletics. Hence the acknowledgement of them assisting with the player salary pool. That’s also brand new territory for every school across the country. So that’s not really relevant when looking at the school’s willingness to help with coaching salaries, something they could have done when RG himself said he did not yet have the funds to pay for all of Prime’s contract.
What are you referring to here: "even in the last two years where the pro athletics president and chancellor could have changed that."I feel like you think I’m hoping they won’t help, which is not the case. I hope they do, but it has never happened in the history of the school, even in the last two years where the pro athletics president and chancellor could have changed that.
