#Fire Coach Dorrell

I believe that a dynamic chancellor could change that.
Yes a dynamic chancellor could change that.

Keep in mind though who will be picking the new chancellor and who will be running the process leading to that decision. You won't get a pro athletics selection if those people aren't even included in the selection process.

I don't think the Boulder Campus chancellor has much sway in that. It has to come from the University President's office and Todd Saliman is not going to do that.

I could be way wrong, but I believe most AC contracts have language that voids the buyouts if the head coach is fired. But then again, RG was in charge so we'd probably owe them their full buyouts.
No they do not. The AC contracts are independent of the HC and no agent or attorney would accept that language. Assistant buyouts are always part of the process when you fire the HC. Why do you think they wanted multi-year contracts.

As should this! Really...after week one of the season? 0.7% chance to get to 6 wins? #firethemallnow

We also have like 6 new coaches probably on 2 year contracts. Essentially raises the “buyout” for firing Dorrell another 2-3mil

Gloves really seem to have come off with the press the last couple of days. Almost feels like the admin has given them the ok to loosen the leash a little bit.
These are tied together in the fact that it's always kicking the blame downhill. Buying yourself more time before the headsman comes for you. These 6 new coaches were bandaids on a broken spine. A way for KD to push the blame downhill. Now RG, LC, Grandpa Phil might be letting the gloves come off to put the heat downhill from them on KD. There needs to be more ripping off the band-aid than all this pussy footing around and posturing. LSU **** cans a guy who won them a title and could out recruit KD at Western State because they didn't want to mess around and didn't feel he was the guy long term. Our admin is full of idiots, cowards, or both and it sucks.

And to add to this, all this ****ing cowardly posturing game does is waste time in turning things around (continuing to **** us during one of the most important stretches of time in college football history) and cost more money (paying the aforementioned AC buyouts). All dick and no balls in the admin.

I mean remember when LSU fired Les Miles? The school itself was in major financial trouble and even the state itself IIRC, and they had to pay some massive buyout to Miles, and then spend huge to get in a SEC level coach and staff. They gave no ****s, they knew where their bread was buttered. And they gave no ****s again a few years later when they fired EdO and hired Brian Kelly. CU just doesn't give a ****, they want to nickel and dime the football team as much as possible. The gulf between a LSU and a CU is gargantuan

People like to poke fun at Brian Kelly but he has repeatedly used the word "alignment" when he took the LSU job. As successfull as Notre Dame has been he still struggled with that in South Bend. As a university you're either committed to winning football or you're not.

As much as I’d love to see Dorrell fired, we need a new Chancellor and maybe a new AD first. There’s an order to this stuff that keeps you from running into issues down the road.
We're one game in. This can get ugly enough for Dr. Phil, RG, and KD to all get fired.

Our only hope is Dorrell lowers his buyout if we have a horrible season. Could easily save face and help a program he supposedly loves. It’s doubtful, but hs happened before
