Matter how bad Chiv was as an OC, he was at least able to scheme the ball into the hands of our best player even when everyone knew we were trying to get it to him (Viska).

Chsv's scheme was more the problem with that philosophy of attacking horizontally.
I watched a podcast with Chev and Pesavento recently. Chev confirmed he wanted to run a spread offense in that 2021 season, but Dorrell wanted a pro style. Chev mentioned he was able to run the spread in the Covid year since they didn’t have enough time to implement the pro style. Not that it mattered either way, but I always thought that was the case.
