Fishers return

1. A coach on the sideline was gesturing very wildly to Fisher to run fast and to the endzone. You see it clearly when you watch the play on video.
2. MM said after the game he wanted Fisher to kneel inside the scoring 10 yardline. So apparently MM didn't mind Fisher coming out of the endzone, but preferred he had not scored. But how many of us would be thinking about that when in the midst of making a career highlight play?

But it’s not beside the point. I’m merely pointing out a real reason why it was a stupid thing to to do. Sure, it was mostly just harmless and damn fun to see, but there was an actual consequence.

I have said all along that MM shouldn’t have gotten too upset about it, but dealt with it later. The whole “nice play, don’t ever ****ing do it again” thing is exactly right. I didn’t come here to argue with folks, yet here we are, arguing. It’s insane. Sometimes this place is truly remarkable. I just have to shake my head.

I blame the butterfly in Central America that flapped its wings and thus, through the magic of quantum physics and chaos theory, caused the injury to the Cal player. I also blame that butterfly for global warming, the earthquake in Mexico, and the JFK assassination.

Curse you, butterfly!!

And that butterfly would have never flapped it's wings had the leaf not fallen in the slight breeze momentarily shading the butterfly's eyes from the sun. Blame it all on the bird that ate the fruit and pooped the seed that eventually became the tree that dropped the leaf.

I'm not normally a proponent of destiny theology, but it's become clear that God had a plan.

You guys are hilarious.

If the game is over, they don’t keep playing just for giggles. 2.5 minutes remaining with the ball leaves about 30-40 seconds for Cal to do anything once they get the ball back. Chances are they just walk off the field, but it’s fun to poke fun at me, so go right ahead.

If there is one fatal flaw with the 2017 season, it’s Fisher’s situational awareness after intercepting the ball in the closing minutes of the Cal game.

If CU doesn’t make it to a bowl game this season, then that will just have to be a burden Fisher will carry with him until the end of time.

:ROFLMAO:

That and running all the way back up the field and jumping on that poor guys leg.

I’m Anaheim. You guys are forgetting the part about how this all went down in Anaheim.

Fisher's acceleration between the 5 yard line and the 20 yard line was a thing of beauty.

That and that OL's leg going all wonky because of what Fisher did to him. am i doing it right?

You’re definitely doing it right.

If that's true, sounds stupid as ****. That would piss me off more as an opponent. Take a guess why.

This illustrates the difficulty of communicating a thought via a message board. I am now being accused of blaming Fisher for the injury. I am 100% aware that injuries happen in football, but thanks for pointing that out. If the game is over, that play never happens. That is a fact.

I enjoyed the return. It was incredible and I loved every second of it. That doesnt mean that it wasn’t a stupid thing to do. Sometimes, stupid plays are really fun, and that was the case here. I can’t believe I’m getting people arguing that it wasn’t a stupid play.

I don't think you can say he still wouldn't have gotten hurt. As the movie series Final Destination shows us, if he is meant to be injured, it will find a way to happen.

By far the most thoughtful and well reasoned response thus far. Hard to argue this logic.
