Games thread- Men's bball at Vegas Tourney- scheduled to face Washington (Sunday, 12/20, 8:00 PM MT) and Grand Canyon U. (Tues., 9:00 MT)

Man, CU looks tight (in a good way) on both ends. Dallas looks so much better!

Sick pass by Battey for Parquet dunk. Love seeing Parquet get buckets
Man did he elevate quickly on that one. Seemed taller than his listed 6-3.

Buffs were #relentless until the last 3 minutes or so tonight. Then it turned into garbage time. Otherwise, WOW! The execution via the UDub zone was incredible. Very few Buff baskets were in transition. How about Big D? He was really motivated on the offensive end.

Missed the game and can't seem to find highlights.

Sounds like Dallas knocked down a handful of mid range shots. Still concerning to see 4 PFs in 17 minutes; although having Horne, Battey, Jabari, and Dallas as frontcourt options makes foul trouble a little less scary.

Looks like D'Shawn and Maddox both knocked down their 3's, that's huge too. Need to get Maddox out of that shooting slump he was in for the first few games.

Up to #25 in the KenPom rankings and #22 in the ESPN computer index. 8-10 spots out in the other receiving votes for AP and Coaches polls. Maybe a win over GCU and we go into conference play ranked?

It was great to see Dallas be quite good, he has a very nice touch even out to 3 pt line. A very productive 17 minutes. He was comfortable facing the zone. Will be interesting if he can be as successful against man defense. Too many of his fouls tend to be ill advised. He may always be just an average defender and rebounder.

Looks like the 'Lopes will offer a challenge up front for Evan, Dallas, and Jabari.

Two productive Senior Centers for GCU

Averaging a combined 55.7 Minutes, 30.2 points, and 14.0 rebounds per game.

All I know of GCU is that Dan Majerle used to coach there and the school itself is equal or lesser than a high academic-wise. An absolute joke of a school.

Daniels should not see the court. He will always shoot, missing a bunch, and struggles on D

He and Schwartz are huge anchors.
They're both numerically really good 3 point shooters.

Guys who shoot 35-40% while taking volume of 3 pt shots are valuable.

I'd love to see Nique or O'Brien outplay Daniels to take those minutes, but it's not happening yet.
