Usually it's the last 8 minutes (final 2 segments) when opponents turn up pressure, extend their defense, and we have no answer. So at what minute mark does the mental collapse begin?
I posted that before the game. Houston is good without him, next level with him.Real opportunity with Sharp out today, too.
I don't think we have an answer for him, so nice not have to deal with a 210 lb bull of a SG who shoots 45% from 3.
5 guys on the court for UH have scored all of their points
Every time we are in it late, I get hope we will pull one out. And then we just **** the bed offensively to put it out of reach. I’m just going to resign myself to us going winless the rest of the way

If you want to be somewhat successful next season the only players you work to keep are: Dak, Rancik and Ruffin. The players you tell you hope they stay are: Smith, Baskin, and Diop. The players you push out of the progam are: Malone, Anderson, Kosarras, and Crawford. You take Carrington off scholarship.Boyle really whiffed big time in the portal. Malone and Baskin have been major disappointments.
I wouldn’t say next year looks much better either.

We have 5 Frosh coming in. All are good enough not to RS. That leaves only 8 other scholarships. Those should be:
Dak
Rancik
Ruffin
Baskin
Diop

End of story.
CU had exactly one advantage against UH - height. We have 3 guys in the rotation taller than anyone they put on the floor - Rancik, Malone, and Dak. It's infuriating that this coaching staff didn't come into this game with a plan to work on that all game long. It still might not have won the game, but it was our only chance.
15 years in, and Boyle is still in over his head.
Houston got after it on the boards. Just more tenacity than we have. At times it looked like a Varsity vs JV scrimmage.Height only matters so much. We got outrebounded 36-21. If you were suggesting that we should have gone inside more, I don't think you would have liked the results.
Tad's postgame comments included that he told the guys in the locker room after the game that when they are working out Monday or Tuesday or this offseason, they need to be thinking about this Houston team and game.I’ll scream this from the top of Flagstaff: FIRE THE FVXKING S&C STAFF. We are the weakest and softest team in the conference every year.
Versus today's game plan? I'm no BB guru, but I cannot tell you what that was. Seems like it comes down to relying on heroics from Hammond; there is no backup plan.Height only matters so much. Probably could have played some more 2-man iso to get some post ups. That's been kind of lost in the game these days. Problem for this year's Buffs with that, though, is that it's really a triangle concept. We don't have that outlet from an overplay help defender who can make a team pay for that with a cut & drive to the rim.Height only matters so much. We got outrebounded 36-21. If you were suggesting that we should have gone inside more, I don't think you would have liked the results.
