Games thread- MEN'S BBall hosts #5 Houston (Sat., 2/8/24; 2:00 PM MT; ESPN+) and visits #16/17 Kansas (Tuesday, 7:00 PM MT; ESPN or ESPN2)

Good start to the 2nd half. But we all know what will happen around the 8 minute mark.

I haven’t had much opportunity to watch the team in conference, but why has Malone seen so little time, seemingly, in conference?

Is he out of shape? He can clearly produce

Tad’s gonna use this game as an excuse to keep Malone beyond this season. We’re fbcking doomed

For a program with so much prestige and money, Kansas sure puts a lack luster product on the court. They are definitely less athletic than a lot of teams in this conference.

Why don’t announcers just say that now that ALL programs can pay players the playing field is level against the powerhouse teams that used to ALWAYS pay their players. Self is a mega cheater

Enjoyable game to watch. If we can keep Rancik and Dak and hit on some freshman there is hope next year.

KJ Adams is worth going to Boulder for a 9pm tip in a couple weeks. That dude is insanely athletic.

**** kansas.

Hey Lama, CU outscored KU 33-31 in the 2nd half. How's about a little for the effort?? I know it was probably garbage time, but Ransik had his best game of the year (career, whole career?)!

What was that kid's name that kept stats for Buttermaker in the Bad News Boys circa 1975? I think I found a glimmer of hope for a conference win this season . . . the ghost of Robert Montgomery Knight showed up in East Lansing tonight. However, wake me up when Mr. Big Shot is introduced... then we will have some style!

how confident are you in getting a win on Saturday?
60%. UCF only really goes about 6 deep. I think if we go at the same pace we did against Kansas, Rancik plays around the same level he has been recently and Hammond and Dak even halfway show up, we can outlast them.

Let's call it 72-68 at this point in the week.

and they played ISU tough last night

thanks. what do the B/A's represent in the right column?

if we're winless going into Senior Day, I'll be so impressed if Boyle can get the team up for a W at that point.

fun fact: Kenneth Pomeroy is a VT alum.
From KenPom:

A game in Tier A represents a top 50 opponent adjusting for the location of the game, and Tier B is the same concept for a top 100 opponent.
