I scraped my shin looking at those pictures. There are sections with benches with backrests in that stadium. That is something that could be done at Folsom Field without dramatically reducing capacity.

I would be thrilled with chair back seating although I feel like most colleges don’t do that? Am I wrong here but I can’t recall a single college stadium I’ve been to that had chair backs.
I like it but I’d say that while we have prime we should attempt to get the latest greatest not keep up. So the majority of blue bloods need to be passedSo I did a quick search of some of the blue blood programs since I think that is the benchmark we should look at since that is where we are trying to get this program to. Alabama, Texas, Florida and Ohio state all have a majority of bench seating just like folsom with a few select sections with chair backs but it looks like 80% or so of the stadium is the bench seating . I would like to see the West side bring total capacity to 60,000 with some built in chair backs in the addition for the fancy/old folks. 60,000 is a nice round number and adds roughly 5k to the capacity which as long as we are decent and don’t have a repeat of the past 20yrs we should be able to sustain

The bench vs chair backs is generally more a function of the age of college stadiums vs professional teams.
Given how new the stadium is, I'm honestly surprised Minnesota has as many benches as they do.
Also not that I give a flying fưck what the sheep did, but out of morbid curiosity what did they do?

I agree 100%. Also who knew we’d get this much response from chair backs. Time to write RickI'd pay 25 to 50 percent more for chair backs. I love going to games, but the constant issues with folks trying to fit an extra person in their seats is so annoying. It seems like we battle for position in our own seats half the games.
That’s why you pay an extra $10/game to have them install permanent seat backs.I'd pay 25 to 50 percent more for chair backs. Yep the best investment to have those permanently on my season tickets. Helps being on the end too. That’s why you pay an extra $10/game to have them install permanent seat backs.
Yeah, we do that. Real seats would be nicer. That’s why you pay an extra $10/game to have them install permanent seat backs.
The actual stadium chair backs are slightly wider which makes all the difference in the world. That’s why you pay an extra $10/game to have them install permanent seat backs.
I looked some stuff up earlier and lost it, but I saw where some conversions from bleachers created price level sections based on the width of the chair-backs with arm rests. Some sections at 18" and others at 20". I don't think the bleacher cushion chair-backs we rent for games are even 18" and there certainly aren't armrests. The actual stadium chair backs are slightly wider which makes all the difference in the world.
