Black and gold turf better be going in there.
It was asphalt of some kind and not concrete. Thats why it was uniform and didnt have check lines. Concrete slabs that big will have to have expansion joints.Maybe re-doing the concrete? I think they repainted it recently but it was pretty cracked
Won't. We've had it before and she did just fine. Current Ralphie "ran" on turf at the bowl game.Anyone have an idea how the move from grass to artificial turf will impact Ralph he's running?
They’re putting in a moat to stop kids from rushing the field against mediocre opponents. It was asphalt of some kind and not concrete. Thats why it was uniform and didnt have check lines. Concrete slabs that big will have to have expansion joints.
My guess would be they are just replacing it and probably improving drainage along the way.
I want you to imagine drunk college students at a football game and their team wins. They’re putting in a moat to stop kids from rushing the field against mediocre opponents.
Would a black and gold ball pit be too demeaning?I want you to imagine drunk college students at a football game and their team wins.
Now add a swimming pool.
This is a great idea!
If, by "demeaning", you mean "awesome", then YES!Would a black and gold ball pit be too demeaning?
Yep, that looks awesome and will be safer overallThat looks like turf on that hill now does it not?
I put together the magnum opus (lol) on stadium naming rights at Folsom --
Why Doesn’t Folsom Field Have a Namirng Rights Sponsor? What That’s Omission Costing CU? The story behind why it's still Folsom Field and how much $$ CU could raise by obtaining a naming rights partner. Ball Field coming?
Check it out at https://buffsblog.com
Wonder if CU wanted to do a public reveal of some sort@UnitedTurfnTrak had these same pictures up on their X feed (I'm guessing that's where you got these from) but they took down the post. I don't think that means anything but it's odd that they took it down.

A little disappointed. I greatly prefer the look of turf fields with a single shade of green instead of the alternating bands. The bands look so much more artificial. I guess I’ll have to get used to it.
I think those were done when Bohn was AD. Iirc, they got circulated again after RG took over. But those are old. I know they were posted on this site, but if you can find them the links could be dead.I remember seeing images of a Balch fieldhouse renovation that included open concourse that looks into Folsom. I can't find them anymore. Anyone else see them or know how to find them?
Yep. It’s been very noticeable in certain pictures but less noticeable in person from what I rememberHate to break it to you guys, but we’ve had two toned grass this entire time.
