Kwahn Drake to be named new DL coach

A dumpster fire would be an upgrade from JJ. He's a young, energetic coach who seems to understand the importance of recruiting. I'm ok with it until proven otherwise.

As am I, I have no ground to question someone at their job, I don’t do it. I hope he’s good because that makes me happier.

Drake in the Box!
I was thinking along these lines

Can I get an H, Pat?

Interesting hire

Ashley and hagan, you better kill it for cali recruits.
Els and Adams are also California and Chev is really a CA guy who built his TX relationships on top of that. Also, with Bernardi having some long-time connects there it can help (like with Ray).

Staff actually looks pretty balanced on CA/TX to me.

This recruiting ties talk is crazy. Coaches move around. They get promoted. If they can recruit, they can recruit. Main thing is establishing a relationship in an area. There is plenty of relationships in Cali. Now they just need a recruiter that can walk in a house and talk to players and sell a vision. Watching this guy and hearing a little about him, he has the energy and youth I want in a DL coach. That sort of guy needs to connect with younger guys. This guy will. Nice to get some youth instead of another old dude like Jeffcoat that has coached forever but can't recruit and gets average results. Welcome, Coach Drake.
agree. As long as the coach can relate to the players, they can recruit. All about coach/player relationships.

I'll be looking for those 4 star recruits!
