No.I’ve been uber busy and now I’m drunk...can someone tell me in a simple, non-typical-asshole-AllBuffs way if this is our 10th assistant?

Ambrose #9No.
This is the replacement for Jeffcoat.
Ambrose #9
Drake #10
Jeffcoat also had about as close to zero to do with the signings of Lang, Tuiloma and Tonz as is possible by their future position coach.Q: What is one of the most common recruiting complaints seen here on Allbuffs?
A: Well of course it would be the inability to recruit both quality and quantity of High School interior DL.
These are the HS interior DL recruited to CU during the Jeffcoat years(I did not include 2018 as JJ was on his way out):
Jalen Sami(CO) Terrance Lang(CA)
Terriek Roberts(CO)
Frank Umu(CO) Lyle Tuiloma(HI) Brett Tonz(AZ)
Eddy Lopez(TX)
Timothy Coleman(CO) Jase Franke(CA)
IMO the Colorado kids likely would have come to CU regardless of which individual coach was recruiting them. So for out-of-state numbers alone (5 in 5 years) I'm fine with trying something new. Having a bright, young, articulate and energetic young coach recruit interior DL to CU from a place outside our recruiting "footprint" is well worth a try, because what we're doing aint working.
Even if Drake focused solely on the state of LA, where he is obviously well connected, it would probably yield far greater results than what we're used to. Add in Houston and we may be in business. I would guess(wild-ass maybe) that the state of LA plus east Texas produce 5 times the number of P5 interior DL in 1 year than the state of CO does in 5.
Welcome Coach Drake!
I don't believe Mac numbers the coaching positions. The answer was to the question, are we finished hiring coaches.
Never been this far west in his LIFE!!? Hope he's got contacts in eastern Texas at least...

You rarely announce your firings but instead your next great move. That’s common.I find it interesting that they never "officially" confirmed that Jeffcoat was let go, instead choosing to just have Howell print an article.
Can’t be anything but a positive from what Jeffcoat did. I liked JJ, but that was an amazing bad job of recruiting for as long as he was employed here. After reading his Bio and watching the film, his enthusiasm and technique are qualities that Jeffcoat seemed to lack. As far as his recruiting capabilities go, we'll see. Welcome Coach Drake!
To think that he and Neinas were our Texas recruiters on the original staff. Can’t be anything but a positive from what Jeffcoat did. I liked JJ, but that was an amazing bad job of recruiting for as long as he was employed here.
