Ladies and gentlemen, the Prime effect

ESPN needs to STFU and get its stupid mouth pieces to quit with the Prime to the Cowboys crap

Coaching AGAINST his kids and all his former players.

He is doing the lords work in Boulder and changing so many lives. Redoing what he did in Boulder is useless from a publicity and promotion level. The greatest story is to take Colorado to a National Championship and then he can “Drop the Mic”

Otherwise, Stephen A, Finebum, and now Rex Rhino can all SHUT THE FUKK UP

The made up story about Prime as potentially the Cowboys next HC is 100% a matter of national media knowing that marrying "Deion Sanders" with "Dallas Cowboys" is clickbait heaven.

Stephen A has wanted Prime out of Boulder since the day he walked into the Champions Center. He has literally talked to Prime on the air how much he (Stephen A) doesn't like Colorado (the state). He wants Prime in the South or in Texas. I don't know why Stephen A cares where Prime is, but it's like it's his main mission in life to get Prime out of here.

Stephen A also bitches every year if the NBA finals includes a cold weather team because he doesn't want to have to travel there to cover it. It's a pretty good microcosm of current media that a narrative can be driven on a national level based purely on where an ESPN personality prefers to travel.

He doesn’t want to travel to Boston or Denver in… (checks calendar) …June?

I did hear him actually bitch once about the weather in Denver when talking about the Nuggets, but I figured that was part of his whole hating Colorado extravaganza.

Used to be with On3. They let him go and Prime had Well Off scoop him up last week. As far I know, he was the only big Prime fan at On3. I only know from what has been posted here. I’m not an On3 subscriber and I don’t do Twitter/X anymore.
He is a good dude, was not a friend or relative of Prime, rather just a guy that was plugged into the Georgia and Southeast recruiting scene and was seeing and hearing nothing but great things from recruits, parents, and coaches. Admires Prime and once On3 made a dumb choice to let him go, it is great that he is now with Well Off. Well Off did not have saavy Football Analysts, as it is mostly feel good video to hype up the players, fashion, life, etc. I would like to see them get someone like Kordell Stewart to pair with Dukes to do a show about real football analysis.

Dukes would not say what he just said about Prime staying because he had a secret meeting about what is or is not able to be said about him

Newest addition to prime's in house media. And not a single one of those guys will say anything but that prime is staying until he's gone.

I'm glad there's someone out there fighting the narrative that Prime's gone, because that's probably killing us in recruiting.

He's literally on the record as saying he doesn't want to coach in the NFL.

It's based on the belief that he only wants to coach his kids. I had someone tell me that just yesterday: "You know he's leaving after this year, he's only ever coached his kids."
Are these folks so stupid that Prime would never ever want to be the Cowboys Coach if he had to then play the Titans with Travis at Corner, or the Giants with Shilo on the team, or any of the other kids that he loves and was with them to get them to the pros.

It is so dumb to think that way.

So, then there is "Go to a Blue Blood", which is Finebaum trying to get him to the SEC because that is all that matters to that mouth breather

I will believe that he's going to a blue blood when I see it.

We let Prime do whatever he wanted because after 20 years of suckage, there was literally no "but this is how we do things in Boulder" brigade to push back against it.

At every blue blood, especially the ones on the South, there is nothing but "this is how we do things here" at every stop.

There are a lot of people who believe that Prime is only motivated by money and flash. They don't know much about him at all.

Ahh I've even seen the Prime to FSU talk start up today. Going to be a fun 6-8 weeks coming up

They have a conundrum in Tallahassee.

Norvell seemed like the guy. He still could be the guy, he pulled them out of a nose dive once, who's to say he can't do it again. Otoh, he's totally lost the team this year and firing both of his coordinators isn't going to help near term nor maybe long term.

Then there's his buyout: $63.8 million. I've read some people saying that FSU has enough booster cash to pay that and hire a big name coach, but that's a lot of money. Then, if you want to poach another team's HC, you have to pay their buyout. And have enough to pay that coach whatever amount.

I mean, maybe they can do it, but damn. That's a lot of cash, especially for a program that's crying poor man over the ACC's TV deal.

They'd also have to fork over 10-12 million to us. I think.

If they had $68M + the ACC exit fees + a warchest for the NCAA lawsuit + another $10M+ per year for a new HC after a huge buyout payment all lined up from boosters, they would have had enough NIL to not have a craptastic team this year. It's all smoke. Unless they sell the program to Saudi investors, they are in financial turmoil right now.

Yeah, but you can dismiss almost all of them out of hand. There are very few places that a) are looking for a new coach and b) could be considered a step up from here.
These are dire times in college football and I don't think the leaders at CU are comfortable with the possibility of being relegated. They appear to be all in. Imo, they'll do everything they can to keep him here including matching 10 million/year. We'll see i guess.
