Ladies and gentlemen, the Prime effect

I don't know what's going to happen with Prime but I bet people will put together pretty lucrative offers try to get him - for several reasons:

He's had some success
He brings a lot of excitement to a program (There's got to be a lot of jealousy out there with CU getting all this attention)
Every year recently boosters/programs put together lucrative offers for coaches they want. If programs had the guts, money, and arrogance to pull Riley form OU and Kelly for ND they sure don't see any thing at CU that is a problem to getting what they want.

On the other hand:
Cignetti will probably be the first target for really lucrative offers.
Prime doesn't seem to be that motivated by money. He's got a lot of money and can do more endorsements if he wants more, He seems to be more driven by situational happiness/satisfaction. (although money contributes to some degree to that)

Maybe with looming profit sharing things in the near future will make the coaching landscape different - I don't know enough about that.

I guess all things being equal, I'd rather be a Buff fan with Prime vs. an Indiana fan with Cignetti. He's got all the characteristics (ahem) that will put him in front of Prime for programs that will come calling.

I agree with all the rest.

One of the biggest reasons I've heard for Prime not leaving is the autonomy he has with CU. No other big program is going to give him anywhere near the autonomy he has here
Prime’s total control autonomy is gold

Cignetti has said out loud that he only took the Indiana job because he will have B1G money, exposure, and can build something.

The coaching carousel is a disgusting thing, and the two top coaches are not going anywhere, so fukk off you outsiders

If, say, the Florida job comes open, and both Prime and Cignetti stay put, the ESPN crew would lose their minds.

I do not see any way either goes
Cignetti is a simple guy, Indiana is quiet and perfect with plenty of B1G money

The “Big” jobs are not that “Big” anymore

NFL Coaches usually do not move cause a bigger franchise wants them.

He is a good dude, was not a friend or relative of Prime, rather just a guy that was plugged into the Georgia and Southeast recruiting scene and was seeing and hearing nothing but great things from recruits, parents, and coaches. Admires Prime and once On3 made a dumb choice to let him go, it is great that he is now with Well Off. Well Off did not have saavy Football Analysts, as it is mostly feel good video to hype up the players, fashion, life, etc. I would like to see them get someone like Kordell Stewart to pair with Dukes to do a show about real football analysis.

Dukes would not say what he just said about Prime staying because he had a secret meeting about what is or is not able to be said about him
He's technically operating as independent. He's not exclusive to just WO or TPS.

As I've said before, no one is poaching HCP with a money play. The money's there if/when it's needed. No matter the amount.

Stephen A also bitches every year if the NBA finals includes a cold weather team because he doesn't want to have to travel there to cover it. It's a pretty good microcosm of current media that a narrative can be driven on a national level based purely on where an ESPN personality prefers to travel.
Now do political media…. 😝

Too soon.
