Lookalike & Game thread- #21 (AP)/ #22 (NET) Men's bball on the road vs. #30 (NET) Stanford (Sunday, 3/1, 4:00 PM MT, ESPNU)

Bey got ****ing murdered on 2 point blank shots.

**** the Pac 12, **** sports, **** all of you, **** it all

Siewert played soft all night
Parquet was absent
Battey was never utilized right
KIN is a god
Bey played really hard, but needs a bit more muscle
Love this team, but they need a rebirth

Tad needs to rethink this recruiting strategy. A bunch of nice Colorado players won't cut it.

And some of them aren't even decent players

CU has the ball down by 3, couple minutes left. Full timeout. Lucas takes the ball inbounds and throws it away. Not saying he lost the game, but gee-whiz, he had to know that possession was critical

Inbounding issues in big spots seems to be a common occurrence in Buffs bball losses this season.
That turnover was after the ball was inbounded to Lucas.

It’s all about the defense. We cut it to 3, and then gave up baskets on 7 straight possessions. 6 of those baskets were layups. We then got stops for 4 straight minutes, and cut it to 3 again... then finished poorly. This team was elite defensively for a huge part of the season. They have been horrendous the last 10 days.

Agree 100% about the defense’s collapse lately. Just making an observation about inbounding in Buffs’ losses the entire season. I’m not saying there’s per se some sort of correlation. Just an interesting coincidence.

We're too small up front. Both Stanford and UCLA give the Buffs matchup issues in the front court that proved to be too much on both sides of the floor. If Da Silva hadn't been knocked out of the game in Boulder Stanford probably wins that game to.

That’s part of it. We are way better defensively when Evan stays on the floor. But the amount of blow-bys we’ve been giving up defensively is disgusting. And it’s from every perimeter defender minus McKinley (and maybe Parquet?). Schwartz and Bey have been the worst about that.

Battey and Bey are trying to stay out of foul trouble as well which doesn't help. Big drop off after those 2 as Siewart is consistently poor defensively and Walton has just been a non-factor.
