Not surprising at all. Pritchard is a defensive liability. Yes he can score but Boston doesn’t struggle with scoring. They also put up very similar stats in the PAC. 20, 4, and 5.5 for Pritchard and 18, 4, and 4.5 for Derrick. Derrick was also a 1st round pick.

And a first-round pick by San Antonio where Pop values complete players.
 
Six former University of Colorado men's basketball standouts are on rosters for the 2022 NBA Summer League, July 7-17, in Las Vegas.

On the veteran's side, Tyler Bey (2017-20) is playing for the Philadelphia 76ers, McKinley Wright IV (2017-21) will spend the summer with the Phoenix Suns while George King (2013-18) returns to the Portland Trail Blazers.

For the rookies, Jabari Walker (2020-22) joins King in Portland while D'Shawn Schwartz (2017-21) is with the New York Knicks and Jeriah Horne (2020-21) is with Sacramento.

Tim Connelly was plucked by the twolves from the Nuggs. So the GM Rosas that signed Kin is no longer there. I was hoping with Connelly’s Colorado ties he may keep Kin on a two way with how he balled out in the G league and the Pat Beverly trade. However this is extremely common for two ways. Tyler Bey I think is on his 3rd summer league team already and he was drafted.

Jabari is athletic enough to cover multiple positions. Be consistently tough on defense and teams will be patient with him as he works towards being a consistent offensive player.

The league sees a bunch of new players each year who think they are scorers, and most were in college. Most teams already have guys who can put points on the board. Be somebody who can come off the bench and defend, not be a negative on offense, and you can have a career in the league.

If he can elevate his offense to a consistent contributor level he can be a starter but until then he can find a place in the league off the bench.

Not comparing Jabari's D to Dre but in many ways they are similar. Tweeners for size (both about 6'7" and slight build but strong) with enough length and quickness to cover most wing players be they 2s, 3s, or even wing 4s. Both athletic but with a limited offensive repertoire.

Dre managed to become a solid starter until injuries got him.
