As has been said by some others, not sure that is a good fit.

I think Chip is better off somewhere that is not used to having big time success, and would allow him to have his ego. USC not so much.

Seems as though every school in the East has a Mullen rumor swirling (some quite humorous).
He has recruited very well and this year they did better than expected. They have the most freshman in the two deep of any team in the country I believe.
Yep. If Browning takes the logical step forward as a sophomore, they might be that surprise team like Wazzu this season.
Peterson is going about building a really good program there. That's good vision by their AD.
Toledo's Matt Campbell looks like the frontrunner for the Mizzou job.

USC will not want a coach who thinks he's more important than the program. Carroll came in without the ego. He earned it while there.

I know the target is Jimbo, but wouldn't Chip Kelly to LSU be intriguing? He gets to play with the big dogs the SEC and all the recruiting advantages, he's a known QB whisperer, and has the name recognition to win over their boosters. Maybe this has already been thrown out there; I haven't been following too closely.

Interesting thought. How does he recruit? How many D-1 athletes come from the islands per year and how is he tied in on the main land?
I just sent a tweet on that. I'm not big on legacy hires, but I really like Naeole. One of my favorite all-time Buffs and he'd bring a toughness to the OL that we haven't seen in a long time.
Tough to change jobs and sell multi-million dollar homes during a divorce.
